I think that was Burris last series. He still has 1 more game to go for 3 touchdowns and 250 yards passing.
When Burris is on, look out.

I don't think Suitor and Cuthbert is giving the Stamps' defense credit on how come Kevin Glenn is having a rough night passing the ball. They keep saying not having Arland Bruce really mess up the passing game.
I think we will see Reynolds and Cornish get more balls now that Drew Tate is in.

Our defence has confused Glenn. Really good game by the defence tonight. Our coverage has been so solid, that his confidence is shaken and he is over throwing open guys as well.
All that talk about the Hamilton D coming, I think fired up our defence to come out and show Hamilton that our defence is the class of the CFL.

Boy the special teams unit is lucky the rest of the team has been real good this year as their embarrassing play has been overshadowed. Stamps are never a special teams power but this year has to be possibly one of the worst ever. Can't make big returns, can't stop big returns, can't make field goals over 35 yards. Just awful. Hopefully special teams doesn't cost them in the playoffs.

Mavers questionable kicking is going to put a lot of pressure on our team to score touchdowns. He is lucky our offence really gets up on teams, and his kicks that he misses are usually useless in the outcome of the game. If these kicks where game changing kicks, we might be in the basement because of this bum. Just awful range, and heck hes missed a few in close as well.

Yeah. I don't think he has the leg to be a professional kicker. They invested the 1st round pick so they are going to give him every possible chance but I just don't see him being a long term solution.

Maybe as punter or something? 44 yards should not be a issue, I mean that kick barley crossed the goal line thats downright embarrassing for a pro kicker. Not only is his accuracy way of, but his power is terrible.
I sure hope a game in the playoffs does not come down to his leg, or it is going to be a very hard offseason to go through.

Nice block by Drew Tate for Reynolds TD.
As far as Maver, I am sure by next season he'll get stronger and will start hitting those long field goals.

It seems like there are a lot of pass interference calls in the CFL this season. I am not just talking about against Calgary. It is league-wise.
This is the 2nd Hamilton TD after the pass interference call against the Stamps D.

Jesse Lumsden ran his first TD as a Stampeders. 55-24 Calgary.

Late in the 4th Quarter Lumsden finally gets in a game as a Running Back, and already has had more success with the Stamps than he did with the Esks.

Pretty cool to see Lumsden brute force his way into the end zone on what five consecutive plays.

Stamps were definitely hot tonight. Will they be cold against Winnipeg so they can be hot in the West Final?

Calgary won 55-24. It was a totally offensive and defensive domination against the TiCats. Burris played so well and he distributed the ball to Stamps' top receivers. Both Rambo and Bryant surpassed the 1,000 yards receiving. Bryant had a huge game with 3 TD. Stamps' defense played well and they confused Kevin Glenn in the first half. Glenn threw for less than 100 yards before he was yanked off the game. Defense also chased Porter off the game as well.
I thought the special team are a lot better on this game compared to the last few games especially on the return. Talley > Murphy. Special team gave up a TD on a missed field goal and a blocked punt. Those are the negatives for the special team.
Drew Tate played well in relief of Burris and I just love it when Jesse Lumsden scored that Touchdown.

Was at the game.
I don't think I've ever seen such a good football team that was so bad at special teams. Most teams, this kinda stuff would kill their record but the Stamps D and O has been so dominant they've gotten away with it.
Talley was ok but doesn't hit the holes hard. But blocked punts...ouch. And Maver? This guy reminds me of Curtis McElhinney. He is dominant in practice - when he warms up at halftime hes hitting 40+ field goals with ease. Then when they count, his leg strength disappears.
What's concerning is that special teams WILL matter in the playoffs, where the games will be close and field position at a premium.
Maver is going to have to make a tough kick or two this season yet, that could determine a football game's outcome. That's a scary thought. Hopefully he saves his best for last.

That puts us at 591 points for. Anyone know what the franchise record is for points in one season?

I believe it is just under 700 it 1994. Could be wrong though.
EDIT: 698 in '94.

Seeing Darren Flutie catch that game-winning TD in the West Final is my most painful memory as a Stampeders fan to this day. What an utter waste of a season.
