) that Evgeni Nabokov had sustained a shoulder injury and would miss up to a week of action because of it.
GM Penney will be looking to Steve Shields to steal a few wins while Nabby recovers.
"I can do it" said Shields. "I want to have a good game against the Kings and then shut out the Bruins later this week".
Not taking the news of the injury lightly, GM Penney went out and aquired veteran goaltender Trevor Kidd to play backup. Shields and Kidd look to keep the Panthers near the top of the league while Nabby flies to LA to get some treatment from the great Kings treatment facility.
