Coyotes trade

The Coyotes have traded Shane Doan to Ottawa in exchange for Ales Hemsky and Zac Delpe. The deal was done primarily to get younger and add another prospect to the organization. Although Doan is the higher rated player we feel the much younger Hemsky still has upside in his game. In addition we pick up what looks to be a legitimate prospect in Dalpe. Flame away.

I like this trade for the Coyotes, because I too feel Hemsky still has some untapped potential. And I have already made clear my feelings for Shane Doan.

Hemsky is an oiler.. we didnt like him.. Doan is a proven producer. . We got cap relief so his contract amount is a mute point in my opinion. we needed a change and well Hemsky always has potential but never really seems to show it.
