My wife loves Anthropologie; a very expensive romance.
A reasonable style blog for men FREE/MAN.

I like this lampshade, has a retro feel to it.

What is wrong with this thread/these threads?

Yes haha, I wasn't too sold on that third one. I would go wild for the others though. Margaret Howell is also trying to bring back the sandals with socks for this fall, which I also find highly debatable!

I'm really big on Wings+Horns right now. Fairly minimal design, but individualistic, high quality pieces. Much of it is made in Canada, too.

I like clothes, I will admit that. I just hate how much money they cost
Whats your favourite brands that are less than designer prices?

I've found that GAP does the trick. They often follow the same trends as major designers, but it's still accessible stuff. Also, if you wait long enough guaranteed the item you're looking at will be on sale. I think you can take stuff back and get the discount if you bought it at the MSRP as well.
It's not really my taste, but ZARA and H&M have fashionable clothing at fair prices. The quality sucks, but if you don't care about that this are worth checking out.

I realize this thread isn't for everyone, but can we please stop with some of the useless posts, please? It's about fashion........if you hate the thread, it's better for everyone if you just stayed away altogether.
Thanks.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what is H&M?

McLovin? TBQH, I wasn't sure if those were men or lesbians on first glace.
I like nice clothes, but that stuff looks way to androgynous for my taste...

H&M is very similar to ZARA. Disposable fashion, if you will. It's fashionable stuff at affordable prices. The only one in Calgary is in Market Mall.

Yeah, it's more "current" than "fashionable". You can weed it into your clothing rotation and have nobody be the wiser.
Still, the thing I find with H&M stuff is that there is always one thing about every item of clothing of theirs that annoys me. Whether it's a button that goes to low, a colour off-tone, or an extra zipper, I can never find anything that would completely satisfy me.
For cheapness, I like a lot of Value Village stuff, and even Winners has some good things.

I loaded up on some BDG and Salt Valley at Urban Outfitters last week, along with a couple thrift store finds. As a stay-at-home dad now, my fashion budget (and fashion demands) are pretty limited. I've also had good luck at Club Monaco lately... usually their fashion is a little to private boys school for me, but the last couple seasons have been much more versatile.

I want a pea coat to wear this winter, any suggestions on shops in Calgary?
I hinted on this in my other thread but I did not see you fashion gurus in there so comment here please?

Try Banana Republic. It's a little expensive, but the quality's not bad. There'sa couple on the website if you look in the "Outerwear" section.
