1350 spectators were not disappointed as they saw the Calgary Flamez win a shootout thriller to claim the IV.11 league title! Fighting back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits, the Flamez were able to force OT and then the shootout where Milos Klemens was able to score on the first attempt, and Jakub Turecek fanned on his opportunity to score.
The Flamez controlled much of the first two periods but found themselves behind after some fantastic goalkeeping by Rihards Purins. Claudio Bertol was able to tie it on the powerplay with just over 10 min left in the third. The Smokies then poured it on for the last 10 min and overtime, but were unable to solve Jan Farkas.

The Flamez will move up to Div III, most likely joined by the Smokies who will play a promotion series in the comnig days.

Good series Chalms, really all season long. It was cool that we somehow ended up playing in the finals, and hopefully we'll both move onto Div III (and maybe even in the same league!)

So Chalms will now place whoever gets 14th place in div III.3 playoffs, and I am actually playing whoever gets 2nd place in div III.3 playoffs because my team ended up 14th place in II.1, so if my relegation game goes badly we will be playing in the same league next year.

So he will be playing http://hockey.powerplaymanager.com/e...acklabeldagger

Is a team with no manager so he should probably win fairly easily. I however have to play:
http://hockey.powerplaymanager.com/e...de-ste-therese

Who came 2nd last year as well and lost the promotion round then too. Very even matchup for me.

That would be interesting, for your sake hope you stay in div II though!

Disappointing end to my season. Again we pushed on tactics, and i was at home. Outshot him again 31-14, yet I manage to lose 4-2 with a better goalie and being a much better team overall. Not sure how that happened.

Ya I saw that, odd games you had there. Ah well, in the end you'll probably get promoted as well, but I guess the extra winnings would have been nice!

4.2 isn't bad. Hopefully my rink sells out to make up for it!

so it looks like I wil be playing the Oaktown Crusaders of div III.2......He is an active manager and as best as I can tell he was promoted from IV.8 last year. It looks like I am in for a real battle in the promotion round. By my take of things I should get schooled so I am hitting the market with my new found wealth trying to pick up a few key players. Ive got a few days to prepare thankfully.

Ya Oaktown Crusaders is a pretty good squad, it'll be tough to get promoted to III.2, you might not actually want to for this season because it is probably one of the strongest div III's, you'll gain more experience and money by killing again in div IV.

lol - well I'm against the Eagles in Div III, #2.

So we might be promoted together. Maybe I should lose on purpose.

Even against the inactive Blacklabel from III.3, The IV.11 Smokies will be in tough in the promotion round as star goaltender Rihards Puriņš is out for the next 16 days with an upper jaw fracture.

The Smokies hope to get two wins out of their 16 year old backup Lubomir Habal. Habal made 5 appearances during the regular season, posting a respectable SV% of 92.54. However, he only played against weaker opponents or when Purins needed rest.

Game 1 goes Monday in Alberville, with game 2 being Tuesday at the Cominco Arena.

Won my game today, just need to win on the road tomorrow and I will stay in II.1! I have no idea what he's going to do for tactics however, we both did normal today, I'm going to hope he thinks I stay normal and he goes Breaking up of Play, and I'll go Counterattacks.

Yes! Put them away in 2 games and I get to stay in league II.1! Just put my top players in a quick training camp as well now, really looking optimistic for next season, hopefully I can make the playoffs.

If you guys look at the elections page at the beginning of next season you will see that I put in a bid for Team Canada general manager. I really don't think I would get it, but it would be good to get a few votes, could I expect some support from Calgarypuck at the beginning of next season??

Well, if you get a 4 or 5 star offer, take it. If you get a 3 star early it's up to you how much it's worth, but you could gamble and try to get a larger offer. I think you get 4 offers, if you don't accept the first 3 it automatically accepts the fourth offer no matter how good/bad it is. As soon as you reject an offer you can't accept it later, so make sure you actually want to reject it before you press that button.

Right now mine is:
General Sponser (5 stars)
Contract worth: 65,545,136
Weekly donation: 4,096,571

TV rights (5 stars)
Contract worth: 5,327,104
Weekly donation: 332,944
