Moral win... thinks are looking up if we're able to hold Pittsburgh to a 3-2 score, shutting them out in the 3rd period.

Instant chemistry on the new first line as Kovalchuk sets up Richards 1:34 into the game. New 2nd line looked good too, with Hunter, Frolov and Connolly all getting in on the scoresheet.

Wished we had our first win, but against Pittsburgh, we'll take the step forward.

Good bounce back game for the Ducks as we outshoot the stars 37-22 and sneak out a 1 goal win. Shots were limited but the chances must have had quality as they got 3 goals. Still good to get the win, hopefully we can build off it moving forward.

Thanks to the Flyers for getting our lines in for us.

Brent Seabrook is proving to be a good pickup for the Sharks, logging almost 25 minutes and finishing +2, as well as adding a goal bringing his point total to 4 in 5 games. Simon Gagne has still yet to find the back of the net, but has 6 helpers on the season so far.

The scoring by committee has continued for the Sharks, with only 3 players who played more than 6 minutes left off the scoresheet.

We will have to work on our 3rd period defense, as the score was 6-2 Sharks with a little over 10 minutes to play in the 3rd. I would also like to curse whoever the goal judge was who disallowed the San Jose goal, which was clearly across the line. However, David Clarkson made up for it by beating up Kyle Quincey.

Goaltending was clearly the weak point for both teams this game.
Goalie Stats

Craig Anderson (COL), 23 saves from 29 shots - (0.793), L, 1-3-0, 48:59 minutes
Thomas Greiss (COL), 9 saves from 9 shots - (1.000), 11:01 minutes

Jimmy Howard (SAN), 27 saves from 31 shots - (0.871), W, 4-1-0, 60:00 minutes

Badly outplayed in this one - this win belongs to Dwayne Roloson who continues to excel. He'll need a rest next game which means Marty Biron will get his first action of the season.

The youngsters continue to impress as Voracek/Stamkos both pick up their 2nd goals of the campaign.

Nice to keep winning was wary coming into this one riding a winning streak while the Leafs needed a win badly. Good to see the team keep playing well. Balance has been the key so far this season.

Damn.

Positives:
We can score and Lake Erie is undefeated this year. Top line played really well and David Perron continues to play great on the top line.

Negatives:
Anderson crapped the bed and we couldn't help him out.

Hopefully Whitney comes in and helps out the 2nd line.

Well that is unfortunate. Dominated the Wild by outshooting them 41-29 but come away with a 3-2 loss.

AHL team continues to roll as the Wolves put up 9 goals for the second straight day.

The Coyotes 3rd line beats the Wings - good effort from the pluggers.

Rangers come off a bad beating against the Penguins, to playing a great game against the Capitals. Rangers fired 49 shots in todays game. That's more like it!
