Nenshi's biggest fear right now should be complacency among his supporters. If he gets his vote out, he'll win.

Sweet, that would have been my sister and I. Game was putting us to sleep by the third period but we stayed till the end to keep waving the Nenshi flag.

After seeing him interview some of the candidates (just finished watching the McIver hot seat), Mike McCourt's a dick. He asks some important questions, but the manner in which he does it is unbecoming someone with his experience.

Announcement at Ric McIver's office at 9am today, I'm assuming it is Burrows endorsing him.

did burrows not say he had a presser at 11 am? Maybe McIvers got some sort of October surprise, a friday announcement for people to chew on over the weekend?

I'm telling you guys, he's going to announce a career in professional wrestling, chewing out the fans about their wasteful spending and left wing ways. He'd be the ultimate heel in Eastern Canada.

Typically Friday's are a bad day to release news or a good day to release bad news as it get's lost in the weekend and forgotten about by Monday. Most governments and publicly traded companies will release news that they quickly want buried on a Friday.

I think Bigtime has the best guess.

Jason Markusoff from the Herald just tweeted that he believes it is another endorsement.
Before the Flames game we were up on the Stampede LRT handing out Nenshi flyers/pins and Joe Connelly and some volunteers showed up. I can't reason why he hasn't dropped and thrown his support behind McIver. I'm going with a wild guess that it is him supporting Ric this AM.

Although I secretly love the Ozy_Flame prediction!

Connelly also wasted money on power ring advertisements. Looks like he is sticking in to the bitter end.

Weren't his power ring ads only running in the first period? Or maybe the heroin beers got to me for the next two periods and I didn't notice?

Pretty meh news really. Nenshi can easily counter it with "oh another member of the broken council endorsing my opponent, business as usual if you elect him."

I hope he gets the mayoral seat, as soon as he moves from civic to some other level of politics he loses my support.

			From the Herald:
"Lori Williams of Mount Royal University said Stewart's endorsement could be the most valuable of the bunch.

"Even if he didn't run a great campaign himself, he has broader connections, not just with the business community, but also with his work through the Calgary Homeless Foundation." she said.

"It could be a difference. Someone who ran a negative campaign and endorses somebody might be as much trouble as benefit, and that's a possibility in Hawkesworth's case"
