Da_Chief likes this result. Take that Lundy (although you did play well). Hank gets it going. Gotta bring the shots against down though.

Habs GM won't be happy with this result.

Have to mention AHL stars.

Recently shopped Bergfors showcases his skills by scoring a hat-trick.
Deryk Engelland beats up Michael Swift at 13:19 of 1st period
Mike Testwuide beats up Jason Demers at 14:27 of 1st period
Matt Carkner and Michael Vernace fight to a draw at 15:07 of 1st period
Alex Grant and Mathis Olimb fight to a draw at 1:45 of 2nd period
Mats Zuccarello-Aasen and Mathis Olimb fight to a draw at 8:37 of 2nd period
Krystofer Kolanos beats up Ryan Thang at 14:35 of 2nd period
Ryan Thang and Alexander Radulov fight to a draw at 0:47 of 3rd period
Phil Desimone and Tommy Wingels fight to a draw at 8:26 of 3rd period
Mike Testwuide beats up Zach Trotman at 9:12 of 3rd period

Bolded are Phantoms, we win 4 fights and draw other. Testwuide is a beast.

Also doesn't look the rookies are indicated in the sim yet. Do we need all the teams to figure out who their rookies are like last year?

Thrashers go to 1-1-0 after a 5-2 win over the Panthers. Secondary scoring in this one as White had 2 goals and Cleary and Nielsen each had a couple of points. Nice to see the 2nd line step up.

Well, great result for us tonight against the Habs winning 3-2. Goals from Handzus, Smyth and Zubrus but the big key to the game was the PK - we held the potent Habs to just 1 for 9 on the PP.

3 Stars
1 - Michal Handzus (BOS)
2 - Loui Eriksson (MTL)
3 - Mikko Koivu (MTL)

Power Play

Boston Bruins - 1 on 2 Attempt(s) - 50.00%
Montreal Canadiens - 1 on 9 Attempt(s) - 11.11%

Another game another injury, this time to Glencross. Glencross is not showing as injured when I look at the ratings and yet the sim won't allow him to play, how do I find out how long he is going to be injured for or when I can play him?

Yikes...not a great way to start the season. May have to switch things up a bit...some of our key players have been struggling a bit. Eriksson and Koivu continue their chemistry from the pre-season but not much else.

Time to fiddle with things.

My stellar team has been stellar thus far. Hopefully both the Panthers and Americans can move out of the L column soon...

On the roster page it shows he's down to 23 CD and gone for 3 months. ouch.

Falcons score 2 goals in last minute of play to tie it up then score the winner in the first minute of OT to go to 2-0.

I see his CD at 23 but I don't see an injury status anywhere.

Never mind, I found it. Yeah so far I have a 2 month injury to a D and a 3 month injury to a F, no big deal I built the team to have a lot of depth. Bring on the injuries, I'll still work you guys over .

BTW both injuries came in back to back games against Ravi's Ducks who are apparently suspension proof; his team is a bunch of dirty hacks!

Fiddle with the ducks. We lost in a shootout to the Kings. It was a better game and good to pick up a point but when you expect to be a contender getting 1 out 4 of pts against a division rival is a real bad performance.

Going to have to figure things out over the weekend and make some changes at least to our current line combinations.

Oh well, at least we took out 2 players in 2 games!

Sabres redeem themselves to now be 1-1 on the season. The PP which was the problem in game one did well in game 2 as it went 2/2 on the game, include a late goal followed by a Lupul goal in the final minute for the win. Nearly 80 shots between the 2 teams in this one.

Lundy plays well in loss on road, needs rest now, already down to 97 CON after two games. Interestingly enough he went down to 99 after game 1 and then to 97 after game 2 (maybe playing a goalie on back to back days hits them harder in the fatigue category OR the amount of shots has an effect as well)

Below 95 and you are out due to fatigue

Tyler Myers also seems to be tiring out pretty fast, we will have to reduce his playing time
