OK, but that hardly establishes that as her base of support does it? It merely means she she is most popular among that group...i guess we need to know how large that group is to make a proper analysis. Though I guess it wouldn't surprise me that much if true.
Again there is no where in the article that supports the statement you wrote.....
"Barb's main supporter base is the high school graduate/dropout crowd, which ain't too likely to vote either"
The quote is as follows;
"She is leading among people with no post secondary education"
If you want to argue semantics, feel free. After all, people with no post-secondary education are, by definition, people with just high school diplomas, or dropouts.
You would have been much wiser to argue the point that many older people do not have post-secondary educations and have countered my argument that way. Admittedly, I was thinking mostly of young people when considering those with no post-secondary, and only contemplated the elder generation after I posted that link.
So, really, swing and a miss on your part there.
Incidentally, Barb's (alleged) blowup at CityTV didn't stop her from appearing on X929 right after. They say her interview will be up on their blog shorty.

trades people...sales people etc...may not have PS education but to me the implication was they were uneducated, therefore unlikely to vote. Not sure that would be so true.

Yet you wrote the following, where does the article state the "High School graduates and or dropout's" are not likely to vote?

And that is a fair point too. As I implied, mentally I tend to equate "no post-secondary education" with "young people just out of high school". A consequence of now living in a society where you pretty much need college/university education to get anywhere any more. I did find it funny that flambers got caught up on semantics while I was already re-assessing the meat my argument internally.
The poll also noted that Higgins has a substantial lead among Calgarians with a high school education or less as well as lower income households.Geographically, Ric McIver has a substantial lead among Calgarians living in the southeast quadrant, while Higgins has stronger support among those living in the northeast and southwest.

Problem is you have missed the age group of high 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's etc.
There are lots of people in that group that did not obtain Post Secondary Education.
Took my grandparents who are Russian to vote yesterday. They actually like youthful candidates and asked me who the young candidates were. 2 more votes for Nenshi.

Due to cost etc.....
Congratulations on attempting to counter my initial argument with a rebuttal argument that I gave you myself in my first response. I'm about four steps ahead of you here.
I am a Nenshi supporter, and I can understand if people vote for Rick McIver. I have no idea why anyone would vote for Barb Higgins. She has shown absolutely nothing to me that indicates she is qualified in any way. Its so obvious she's counting on pure name recognition to get her by. She's so fake looking, and seems like a real beotch to deal with. At this point, I think I'd rather vote for David Spence. At least the guy looks like a fun dude to chill with.

You are correct, I missed your response on the older generation....
However there is no reference in that article that states the group of voters who do not have post secondary education are unlikely to vote.
Article only states;
"Nenshi online strength translates to a solid 43 per cent among Calgarians aged 18 to 34, but that demographic is least likely to vote".
