Anyone recall the Dino Ciccarelli jail incident?

I was too young to remember the Dino Ciccarelli stick-swinging incident against Luke Richardson which landed Ciccarelli in jail for a night.

Anyone remember what exactly happened and why? I'm compiling some research on criminal charges being laid against hockey players.

Basically Dino speared and Tom-A-Hawked Richardson numerous times - it was pretty vicious from what I remember.

Dino has also had a few run-ins with the law outside of the rink

- recent domestic disturbance - not charged
- plead guilty to indecent exposure

Also an incident in a limo was investigated but dropped by the police

Does anyone recall why Ciccarelli attacked Richardson in the first place? The circumstances leading up to the attack?
