Nenshi and Higgins both sounded good in this morning's three-way debate on CBC Radio One. McIver was stumbling over himself and, surprise surprise, coming off as an arrogant ass that got everything done when he was on council.

I'm actually starting to like Higgins' campaign a bit; and then I remind myself that she's no more qualified than Nenshi is, and she runs out of 'power words' after 20 minutes of speaking. She'll also get eaten alive when voices start getting raised downtown.

Good thing I voted yesterday.

Higgins can't run a campaign (or a city) either. Her campaign didn't pick up until she fired her first campaign manager.

Just another reminder of Nenshi's visit to Club Sapien (10th Ave and 11th St) tonight at 5:30. If you aren't sure who to vote for, here is a great chance to ask questions to a candidate directly. Love to see you there!

Aren't all chaps, by definition, assless?

I have done no research whatsoever on any of the candidates so far, but do plan on voting.

Is there a relatively objective/impartial site somewhere that lists the issues and the candidates stance on each issue or some other way to help me quickly make a decision?

As long as you don't mind committing election fraud.

I can't think of anywhere impartial that has all the information in one place (maybe calgarydemocracy.ca - at least there are links to most of it there). I'd suggest going to the candidates' websites and at least seeing what they claim to stand for and what their positions on major issues are.

I don't think there are any sites that just list all the issues and candidates stands. Calgary democracy has a list to everyone's websites which will have their platforms.

If you want to get a little more in depth, stories, radio interviews with most of the candidates

Just read as much of this thread as possible. if you're like most on here, you'll probably end up siding with Nenshi.

Went to the advanced poll yesterday at City Hall around 5pm it was quiet but the ballot boxes were full, Was talking to the workers and they said through out the day it was very busy.

On a side note, plus one for both Nenshi and Zak Pashak in Ward 8

I dunno, he might also make her lose votes, the way he ran his campaign.
