Coffee is an acquired taste for most. I Cant really think of anyone that just enjoyed coffee the first time they tried it. For me it came following high school, when I was in University. Trying to survive early lectures after a weekend of partying or get through mid terms created a necessity for caffeine.
Of course most people put sugar and cream in to take the edge off black coffee, most longtime coffee drinkers move to black over time.
As for me, i think the timmys double double is the most perfectly crafted mixture of morning greatness every created by man.

I just add a bit of coffee to my cup of 10% coffee cream and sugar.

It doesn't make any sense, your mom was pulling your leg. Black is a million times more healthy.

Double Double at Tim's. At home I like two small teaspoons of sugar and about the same of CoffeeMate. If I have real coffee cream, I prefer the International Delight Hazlenut.
I don't drink as much coffee since I quit smoking, but I still head straight for the coffee pot in the morning. And I am definitely a coffee snob.
Life's too short for bad coffee.

It's gotta be black everywhere but at Tim's. Only place I get a double double. Unless the coffee is absolutely horrendous, then I add a little sugar and cream to get by.

Let's see if I can find a new one...
I like my coffee like I like my women, hot and full of whiskey.
But seriously, a bit of cream, a small amount of sugar or just black if it is really good coffee.

Was it "an acquired taste" for most of you, or did you like if right away?

It was love at first sip.

I have a feeling if I said something similar here, I'd end up in the sin bin.

Cream only, or black. Depending on the brew.Any sugar in it and it gets dumped.

I don't think you can call yourself a coffee snob if you drink it with coffee mate!

Double Double fo shizzle...
Interestingly, I remember reading this article on a coffee test that someone did and they gave a test group a bunch of different cups of coffee...ranging from home brew to Tim Hortons, Mcdonalds, Starbucks and so on....The test wasn't to see if they could recognize each brand it was simply to see what coffee they thought was the best....
From what I remember a fairly large majority said Mcdonalds was the best....
I'll see if I can find a link...
