Well, it kind of depends on the mustache. They come in different types. Having a Lanny McDonald or a big old waxed Handlebar mustache shows an impressively high level of not giving a crap.

But McIver is sporting the full on Dr. Phil. That look only works for pedophiles and hockey coaches from the mid 1980s.

I always want to ask, take it back from who or from what? One could make the assumption that he means take it back from the previous city council.... of which he was a part.
 |
I asked him what it meant actually.. He said that he'd been talking to Calgarians and they were telling him they wanted to take back their city.

He never was able to answer the question of: from what!

Man there is a lot of threads about the race... sorry if this is fata but is there a good impartial sight that sums up all the alderman candidates so I can try and make and informed decision for mine? impartial and summing it up are key words... I don't want to spend hours reading up on these guys...

Unless he has a plan on how to kick out the hundred thousand or so saskatchewanians out of my city I think taking it back might be a lost cause.

now if he did have a plan on this I might vote for him.

Deport all the people that weren't born in Calgary and it'd go down to Regina levels of population. Of course, I'm a native, so if Burrows needs thugs to implement his program, I'm willing to take a high-paying upper-level job in his fascist organization.

Did anyone see News Anchor Barbies tv spots. if you look in the background low and behold there is Bob Hawksworth. So does this drop the ball and tell us he is working for Barb and not himself. Whats happened to the Bob of old is Neil controlling him that much.

Your post is a bit confusing, would you mind clarifying?

Why would Bob be running if he was really just Barb's puppeteer?

Maybe he's implying that Bob has acknowledged that he can't win and is working to support Barb without actually officially withdrawing or admitting it? That might actually explain his actions a bit better - in particular the continual attacks on Nenshi, who is competing with Barb for the ABM vote.

I really hope people start paying attention to these Aldermanic races. So many undecided, and so many incumbents winning. It's a disgrace considering how everyone complains about city council and yet isn't going to vote to do anything about it.
