I was there in July:1. Billy Bobs is like a huge Cowboys2. Dallas Stadium in Arlington...go to a game or get the tour for $17, they let you go on the field (only place in the NFL), so bring a ball to throw around if you've got a buddy.3. JFK Museum...its a great even for those that don't care to much about history.

When I was living down there they had a Cowboys open house, and I caught a pass from this rookie quarterback name Aikman. He could throw the ball really hard, but I knew right then that he was the suck.

Dealy plaza has a very surreal and eerie feeling to it. That is the only place I would highly recommend visiting. Other than that I found Dallas to be big concrete jungle in the middle of nowhere. They really do like their football and steaks down there, which was OK with me!

Go to a gun shop and see if they'll sell you a handgun.

Funny story, when I lived down there we went to a sporting goods store, and I of course went to the gun section. I saw a gold plated desert eagle for $200.00 and I asked the clerk what I needed to buy it. I figured I'd need to fill in a form, have a waiting period, be disqualified because I was a foreign national. Na uh. He looked at me like I farted in church and stated "Cheque or cash"

I agree that Dealy plaza is a place to go. You can really get a good idea of how good of a shot from the grassy knoll it was.
There really isn't that much to see in Dallas though.
You can go check out South Fork and realize how much hollywood can make something look better than it is.
maybe check out a high school football game or go see the Cotton Bowl, six flags.

I'm pretty sure he would've said " check or cash."

Drink beer and eat pizza with the bikos in the Bishop Arts.
Go to Primos on McKinney and drink margaritas with the bags. Shawn Marion will probably try to pick you up.
Go to lower Greenville to get stabbed and pepper sprayed.
Go to Tei An for a great meal - you will spend an enormous amount of money.
Dealey plaza good for about 1.5 minutes. Go before 7 AM to avoid the wackos.

And then go check out the book depository. It has an excellent view of the city streets and a nice grassy knoll. (Sixth Floor Museum, Dealy Plaza)
It was the only place a had time to see when I spent a day in Dallas.....felt that it was well worth it. It's basically a JFK museum, as one would expect.
