wow, was that Bradshaw showboating?
If the Bears now get a TD drive from their own 1 after doing nothing all night, that would be super weird.

No kidding since they only have 76 yards on the night in 54 minutes.

Collinsworth is right, the Bears can't even move 2 feet.

Big thanks to the Giants from this Packer fan...needed the Bears to lose and get into a tie for 1st in the division and the conference.
Kansas City Chiefs the last undefeated team in the NFL. Think about that.

Looks like the 72' dolphins will be popping the cork soon this year.

Embarassing loss for the Seahawks, and especially Hasslebeck, going into bye week.
No poise and horrible decision making time and again, for a 12 year veteran.
Most of all, no leadership. There is no excuse for not putting any points on the board in a half of football, against the St. Louis Rams. The offense put zero points on the board last week too, only the 2 KR TD's save them.
All on Hasslebeck, all of it. Said it for 3 years now, SEA needs a leader as QB that the team can rally behind....I can't recall in the past 3 years how many times a Hasslebeck lead SEA team has come back from a deficit of more then 7 points, thanks to Hasslebeck. SUre, there's been comebacks thanks to turnovers or ST plays or interceptions, but more and more it seems that if Hasslebeck doesn't have the lead, he shuts down.
Only reason IMO Carroll didn't put in Whitehurst was not wanting a QB controversey for the next 13 days. But PC has overturned the entire roster and makes major changes weekly, and I don't think Hasslebeck should be immune, now that they have a viable back up (finally) in Whitehurst.
Probably a bit lucky to be 2-2, and if they can't keep up with the friggen Rams of all teams (now with SF 2 games back and ARI 1) they don't deserve to win the division...but the shine is off the rose of this team now, and probably a good thing for Hasslebeck to get embarrassed as he did today, by a team they expected to beat, to expose how fragile a team leader he actually is, without being able to use his usual string of excuses.

Favre, Vikings might have too many issues to overcome
Quote:
According to league sources, Favre has confided in friends around the league that he fears being able to get through a 16-game season given the state of the offensive line and the protection issues in general. "He's told other players that he's not comfortable with the offensive line," one source said.
Then, there's the ankle. Coaches and scouts I've spoken to believe it is playing on Favre's mind and also throwing off his mechanics. Here's how one opposing defensive coach summarized it:
"He seems very hyper in the pocket. His feet are always buzzing and moving in the pocket now. You can tell he doesn't want anyone to roll up or fall on that ankle, and he seems paranoid about it. There's like a pitter-patter there even after he releases the ball, where's he's making sure his feet are on the ground and no one is under him. His feet aren't quiet anymore...
"And you don't see as much follow through, either. His weight-transfer is way back, and he's not staying into his throws. That comes from the ankle, and that's probably why he's been sailing some throws."
|
Quote:
The personnel isn't the same, either. Rice was Favre's go-to target, a dominant performer on third down and in the red zone. Favre had an innate confidence that he could throw up a jump ball, and most likely Rice was going to come up with it. And if he didn't, then he'd do whatever it took to keep the defensive back from hauling it in.
"(Rice's) loss is really showing up in the red zone," the scout said. "(Favre) seems frustrated with (Bernard) Berrian, because he doesn't fight for the ball the way Rice does. It's not even close. So that turns all the focus to Shiancoe in the red zone, and you double him and see what anyone else can do."

Truthfully, if this is a season in shambles, I would be okay with that as long as Brad Childress is fired.
Give Leslie Fraizer the reigns and hire a decent offensive coordinator and find a effing QB.

ESPN reporting Vick as day-to-day with a rib cartilage injury. Also, LeSean McCoy has a broken rib, Asante Samuel and Riley Cooper both have concussions.

Favre has no confidence in the O-line? Maybe he should have showed up for camp and got some time in with them so they would be a more cohesive unit when the season started.
Favre is bigger than the game. He is a living legend, a first ballet hall of famer, arguably one of the best QB's in league history.
All that being said, how do you expect to build a winner if your too good to show up for practice. The Vikings are ######ed for letting him run the show.

If a RB starts for my fantasy team he gets hurt. Book it.

Packers gets some bad news in that S Morgan Burnett who had been playing lights out suffered a season ending knee injury yesterday, and they have no one to replace him. Atari Bigby would be that guy but he is on the PUP list and cant even practice for 2 more weeks. Looks like they are going to have to move one of the nickel backs over or use CB Pat lee in his place. Ugh.
Season is not going as planned damnit!! Special teams, which they worked on all off season to improve, stink once again. Penalty issues popping up badly and the running game is deafeningly silent.
TT has to make a couple moves for the RB and secondary issues or this club who was a sexy pick all off season will struggle to even make the playoffs.

They like to pretend former CFLers didn't play in the CFL. I've actually heard on several occassions where they just skip a guys CFL career entirely and pretend they went straight from college to the NFL with a 4 year delay when the guy was up here playing.

Wake looking good tonight. Most Americans couldn't name more than one or two Canadian cities so coming from the CFL is essentially coming out of nowhere as far as they are concerned.

ENough of all the pro CFL who cares if the commentators and people don't know, I don't pay attention to the AHL and could care less if a guy is up from Springfield or whatever town they play the AHL in.
Back to the game the dolphins should be cruising right now. Henne had no reason to throw any of those interceptions and it may end up costing us the game. He's staring down his throws and he's forcing the ball at times. He needs to step up his game, or just keep running the ball and shelve the damn wildcat really 3rd and 6 on the first drive of the game after we've been driving it down there throat that first drive. Like common.
