Tempting, but I think LW is my deepest position so I'll pass (I see Chalms has him now so I'm sure I'll be seeing him a lot anyways!).
Flamez into 5th now after beating the previous 5th place team. Hoping to move up to 4th by the end of the season to get that home ice advantage!

Not to count my chickens before the eggs hatch or anything like that but after an amazing second half to the season it looks as if the Rokkers have cemented themselves into 4th overall. I laid a whoopin on the second place team 8-1, should have bee a shutout but he scored with about 5 min to go in the 3rd. Im pretty stoked to get into the playoffs and see what damage I can do. Since my mass rebuild I have really not been given any challenge with exception to the Chinooks and some friendly matches between some fellow cpers. My goals are pretty lofty for the playoffs, cant wait or the dang season to end already...

Decided I needed to turn up the volume for my playoff run - grabbed this guy (check the price), who will now be the second best goalie in my league.

Haha I finally got that ever illusive shutout 10-0. Granted it was against a team that lost its manager a while ago but ill take it. Im now 1 point out of 3rd, id love to make it into 3rd place as the team id be playing in the playoffs I have consistantly beat all season long.
Speaking of the playoffs are they a 7 game series or 1 game sudden death kinda thing?

Playoffs are a best of 3
I've won my last 3 to finally get at least 4 points up on relegation now, hopefully I can stay in league II.1 another season. Aquired 2 really good wingers last week and it's really helped make my team a whole lot more balanced. Paid 3 million for each of them but it worth it. Have them on the second line. This is my line-up now with them in it (I'm missing 2 players cause of injury):

Unfortunately the game simulator will see him as a 42(goal)-61(pass)-21(tech)
You have to be careful buying 1-atty players because they will be expensive, have a big salary and may be worse than the goalie you had previously. The good thing is you can train him only in tech for a long time and he will improve quickly. Too bad his C/L is low, otherwise he may have trained pretty quickly.

Because your primary will only be as good as twice your secondary. That's why you have to train you players in all attributes and not just in the primary. So you are stuck with a goalie who is 42 primary right now.

Time for season 2 of soccer to begin! How many of you guys made a soccer team as well? I'm playing my first game in League I.1, hopefully my team starts out strong.

Hmmm... it doesn't say that anywhere. Just reading the guide, it says it would be "less effective", but that is all.

It's been tested over and over again by many veterans to the game, just look at your goalie stats for your friendly game today (I think you had 24 with your other goalie) and your 3-2OTL yesterday (had 23 goalie strength). I don't know the stats of your other goalie but it seems like he is still your better option right now.

Here's a very long article that shows mathematically why the 2:1:1 ratio is what you should train your players to

I've been training guys at 2:1.1:1 since I've heard that the "secondary" may be slightly more important than the "tertiary", but maybe it's best to train to 2:1:1? In any case I'd send that goalie to camp and have him train his Tech; hopefully it'll go up quickly (in time for playoffs!)
So I'm kinda bored, here's a rundown for our League in hockey...
In League IV.11 it looks like all the playoff spots have been taken, just a little jostling for position. Montreal DesTROYers have locked up the league title and appear to be the run away favorites to win the playoffs too , especially if he goes to Normal and switches up his tactics.
The battle for second is tight between the New Hawks and the Smokies. The New Hawks play one tough game while the Smokies finish against three weak teams; if the New Hawks lose one it'll be the Smokies in second.
HC Wushu, the Flamez and the Faucons are all within three points in the battle for 4th-6th. Wushu and Faucons play eachother on the final day which will probably determine where all three teams finish.
In seventh the Capitals du Quebec have a strong team but are unlikely to move up, while the Castors de Bellechasse finished strong but are locked in the 8th seed.
Predictions
1. DesTROYers
2. New Hawks
3. Smokies
4. HC Wushu
5. Flamez
6. Faucons
7. Capitals
8. Castors
First round will see the DesTROYers in 2, an upset as the Capitals win in 3, Smokies in 3 and Flamez in 3. From there, DesTROYers over the Flamez in 2, and Smokies edging out the Caps in 3. DesTROYers will beat the Smokies in 3 to win the division, with the Smokies still moving up to Div III next year.
Oh ya and season 2 soccer, hoping to finish in the top half this time!

Nice analysis! I can throw it up as a press release on PPM if you want, I'll give you the credit of course ahaha.
In other news a prospect of mine is being sold in an hour, here's the link if anyone needs a little push for the playoffs, 70OFF,35PAS, 35TEC centerman. He's only at 10 000 right now so cheap aquisition for any of you.

If you go through the HF boards forums for powerplay manager you'll find a whole lot more stuff, no specific other articles I have though, sorry.

Sure why not haha. I put a bid down on him, don't think he'll go for less than 100k though, but I could use a good centerman!
