Why would the homeowner be responsible for the charges? Should it not be the person who signed the contract? I would definately contact a lawyer about this.

Get a lawyer. It's not my area, but PM me if you want a name. You can go after the alarm company for all the costs involved, assuming this company actually exists and this isn't a scam. The tenant cannot bind you in contract, and the alarm company should know that.

What they have on you seems totally bogus because you can't be liable for your tenant's contracts. Seems more like one of those threatening letters that are trying to make you cough up money when they have no legal right to it.

I'd also suggest filing a complaint with RipoffReports.com. They usually try to SEO your report so it's the first thing that shows up if people search for a company.

It obviously is. Nobody writes like this when they rant. "United Security Systems" appears way too many times to be anything other than spam.

Kind of like landlords who keep your security deposit no matter how nice you leave the place.

*Disclaimer: I am a landlord for the humour impaired.

I thought clicking on ads MADE a company money, not cost them. Weird.

You are correct my post is spamish. My story is real and rather than spend thousands of dollars on lawyers (i have better places to spend my money) I have chosen to tell it to the online community, and what better place to start than with a group I have something in Common with. The repetition is done purposely so that GOOGLE has the best chance of picking up on this thread. As mentioned, the goal here is to save myself the lawyer bills and hassle and make them submit via the power of social media.

I do feel like a bit of a heel posting something like this on a great forum such as this, but I am at my wits end with these guys and am reaching out to this and a few other communities.

Thanx to EVERYBODY for providing the feedback. I knew this would be a good group of people. How can you not be, your Flames fans right!!!!

Companies pay to be at the very top and on the right side of google. See screen shot at the link below:
http://www.screencast.com/users/shan...d-d8c1ba711af3

The key words alarm and security cost 5.00/click. Meaning that each time you click on their ad, regardless of how long you stay on the site, it costs them money. If you ever get wronged by a company and want to make it listen to you get a few hundred people together and get them to click on a couple of their ads each day. That will get their attention. That is the method to my madness of asking for people to click on these guys.

actually that house where the guy is sitting was the one in the news a few months back, the crack house....... The city put up a BIG fence around the place and boarded up the place for a month, only to let them back in again.

"I have chosen to use other people's resources" you mean? Instead of using a lawyer to fight your own battle, you leverage a community of people built by and paid for by other people for your own benefit..

AND you chose to put other people at legal risk instead of yourself; by posting what could be defamatory statements you put the site's owner and operators directly in the line of legal fire if the company you name decides what you've written is defamatory. It has happened before.

So rather than fight your own battle through an established method that would determine truth, you want to get other people to bully them? We have no way of knowing what you say is even true. It probably is, but we don't know that for sure.

Well at least you feel the negative aspect of it somewhat, if not enough to let those feelings affect your actions and consider how those actions affect others.

We're a Flames forum first, and a community second.. a personal army for a private business owner is far down the list of things.

And since we're not really interested in getting in the middle of a legal battle or being sued by someone, this thread will likely be deleted.

Spammers try to sell you stuff, like Viagra made in Mexico, and penis enlargement pills made from horse urine. Not the case, just a citizen who has been taken by the man, trying to fight it as best as I can. (kinda sounds like a country song doesn't it...) wait a minute, my dog is still alive and my wife and kid are at home, so maybe not
