Watched 30 Rock finally last night. I laughed a lot. Always a funny show IMO. Not their best episode, but still funny. Tracy with Kenneth was what had me laughing quite a bit.
Was pretty disappointed in Supernatural. I realize they have to get us up to speed with what has happened in the last year, but it still was a pretty boring episode considering how much action we had in the season finale last year. Love these characters, but still think they might have been better off having last year's finale, the show finale.

That's pretty much how I felt about Supernatural's opener, though I am not ready to say just yet that it should have ended last season. It's been one episode, so I will hold off on that judgment for now.
It's been one episode and I am already entirely sick of the Dean's Family storyline. I don't like that chick. It just seemed weird to me that they pimped the idea that Dean and Jo had chemistry and then all of a sudden Jo's gone and this chick is being crammed down our throats as the one Dean really wanted the whole time.
Also, wasn't terribly in love with the idea that they had this family running around this whole time that they just didn't know about, seemed hokey.

I ended up watching this one and thought it was decent. I'd probably watch it again. There's nothing terribly special about it that would set it apart from any other cop show, but it was good.

Oh, I wasn't basing that thought on this one episode. I just thought that would have been a perfect ending to the series. It's still one of my favourite series, so I'm glad it's not gone, but just thought that might have been the best way to end it. I'm afraid this season just might seem like it is an afterthought, that's all.
I agree about the girlfriend. Don't much care for her at all and the rest of his family doing stuff for a year, yeah, didn't much care for that storyline and I'm not too sure about the people they chose, although we didn't get to see them much. Guess we'll have to see how it progresses.

I did say "in addition to what Barnes mentioned," and Barnes mentioned Dexter.

For anyone who has watched Modern Family, I've never seen it but have not watched it before. Is it okay to start watching this season or is it the kind of show that needs to be started from Season 1?

You don't need to start watching from the start at all, but do yourself a favour and watch Season One, great stuff.

Family Guy was......weird.
Not so sure I was a big fan of that episode. And usually my IQ level is low enough to enjoy whatever they put out there.

Really? I quite enjoyed it. Thought it was a great start. I guess my IQ is low enough.

It has been mentioned but no, you don't need to start from the beginning, but for some of the running jokes you will.
Also, season 1 is awesome so yes you should watch it.

I dunno, for a show that is supposed to be outrageous type funny it really feels uncomfortable when they get serious.
It was surreal.
And this is coming from someone who is a long time fan of the series.

I've given up on the Simpsons, its just tired and run through the same material over and over again. I've also given up on the Cleveland show, the characters just annoy me.
I really enjoyed Family Guy last night, I thought it was pretty clever and it was also a way to get rid of some of the characters that were just annoying, I was surprised that they didn't kill Herbert off though.
The Quagmire interaction with his unexpected girlfriend was pretty classic, and you can't help but feel sad that James Woods was killed off, but what else were you going to do with him.
I still dislike Brian's character now as he's just completed the assenssion to bag. But the last scene reminds you of why Stewie could be a great character.
I would expect that we'll see Diane again someday though.

CTV would like us to watch Castle. It seems to be a show about a woman that makes exasperated faces at the male protagonist all day.
