S*** My Dad Says is OK. William Shatner will make or break this series going forward, as he was the only guy that seemed to draw any laughter out of me.

Windmilled him into the shed, let him think about what he did.

Community was brilliant. Made fun of #$%^ my Dad Says, Donald Glover as Spiderman reference and made fun of itself by saying they wont be able to do better than the paintball episode.

The Abed, Troy, Betty White Toto rap at the end was one of the best endings of the show.

When I was in Vegas, I saw an advanced screening of **** My Dad says, and I thought it sucked. It's too dumbed down for TV. I think part of the appeal of the twitter feed was the vulgarity.

I got to say, that episode was one of the best yet. Multiple laugh out loud moments. Community is turning into a good little show.

Community, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory, lots of good comedies on now.

And the fact that once or twice a week you got a small 4 second dose of it. I don't see how they thought making this a sitcom was a good idea.

That's the CBS method of operation... throw a big name at a not-so-great TV concept and hope for the best.

Anybody watch Fringe? A friend turned me onto it and I watched the last 2 seasons in about a week.

Will be difficult to watch over the course of months now... First of the season was strong, but I have a guess as to how they'll resolve the issue (if you watch then you know what I'm talking about)...guess I'll have to wait to see if I'm right.

have a few shows on DVR from tonight that I haven't watched yet but I thought the premieres of Fringe and the Big Bang Theory were both great

Big Bang premiere for me was a bit of a let down. I hope it picks back up to the season 1 goodness that had me in pain from laughter by the end of it. Outsourced = terrible, don't waste your time. Feces My Dad Says = what I expected to be... a few funny jokes but I'd get tired watching it week after week.

Agreed. I think I enjoyed Community more then 30 Rock and Office this week.

What? The wife and I laughed a lot at Big Bang Theory. Thought it was hilarious. Don't agree at all on that one.

As for %^$% my Dad Says, yeah, not great. Shatner had some good lines and I still find him pretty funny, but the other male lead, his son, was awful. Sounded and looked like he was reading of cue cards the whole episode. Forced delivery. Just not very good at all. I will continue to watch it though for Shatner, although you are right, it could get real old, real fast.

Didn't watch Outsourced yet. It's on the PVR, but I don't have high hopes for it.

Yah, I thought the Big Bang Theory was pretty good last night. That line about accidentally falling into lubricant as well had me laughing for awhile.

And a light Friday. The only pilot:

Blue Bloods (8 MT CTV, 10 ET/PT CBS)

Season premieres:

Supernatural
CSI:NY
The Good Guys
Medium
Smallville

Blue Bloods was called Reagan's Law but then NBC had a pilot called Harry's Law, which didn't end up making it to air but they changed the name anyway.

Harry's Law is coming as a mid season replacement still or as soon as something gets cancelled. It actually looks pretty good. Unlike Blue Bloods that just looks like another boring cop drama.

Really looking forward to Supernatural tonight. I thought the finale last season really should have been the "show" finale, but I am looking forward to see what they can come up with this season.

I would agree they probably can't top the paintball episode last year . . . . one of the greatest parodies I think I've ever seen on television and from a completely unexpected source.

Great "Community" kick-off though. It took a while to build the characters in that first season but it's been a pretty awesome show lately. Lot's of laugh out loud moments.

Parks & Recreation is the other underrated one I'm looking forward to, but I think that's coming in January.

I liked Detroit 1-8-7 a lot, although a crazy, somewhat unbelievable ending.

Caught a few things this week.

The pilot for 'Undercovers' was wholly underwhelming, despite the fact JJ Abrams even directed it.

'Modern Family' was funny as usual.

NBC's Thursday night comedy line-up is looking really strong, though I thought 'Outsourced' was horrible. 'The Office' was even a good premiere, though my expectations for it were lowered after last year's poor season.

Haven't seen 'Chuck' or 'Sons of Anarchy' yet, but those are so addictive for me I think I'll wait 'til the season is done.

'Community' remains the highlight of my TV week, and it was a great premiere. Took it in a completely unexpected direction following last year's finale, which was soooo "season one". How the show continues to ride the line between irony and sincerity is amazing to watch. And the cast are all great. Professor Bauer joins Troy and Abed for a rap session:

Just caught The Office season premiere. Classic! It was an average episode until... he started spanking his nephew. I had to pause it I was laughing so hard. Hilarious stuff.
