You are understanding correctly.

Where the glitch becomes a little more useful is when you have legend card and points in a category are insanely expensive, so +10 can be useful. But it is only +2 more than a +5 & +3. Using three boost slots for one attribute takes away from other skills.

For example, when I was testing the glitch my overall was still only an 83 in game and I did not feel it gave me any significant advantage (I still only have vet card). And while increased attributes are certainly helpful, there are other aspects of the game that are much more important. If your team is good at the game and have 77 overall players with Pro cards, you will still beat a team of 88 overall players with Legend cards if they aren't good at the game.

Chuckie explained it well.

How the glitch works is it enable you to use boosts as many times as you want up to the amount of slots you have. So if you normally a +5 and +3 speed you could exchange those with 2 +5 speed boosts.

Again chuckie explains it right. The glitch only adds a few extra points here in there and does not make a huge difference at lower card levels.

However it enables you to do some math a squeeze out some extra points here and there.

As an example here are my athletic stats without and with glitch

As you can see the numbers aren't major but if placed right they can give you more points for other area's.

Certain player types can take more advantage of this glitch to obtain levels that they normally could not (like a sniper getting great balance ratings that would cost way to much to achieve normally)

And yes I have tried a few games using the glitch.

I've got to second dobbles on this, but the single greatest frustration I have playing online is never having a forward to pass the freakin' puck to when I have the puck in my end.

I (and sorry about that dude) got pretty miffed at Krupa one game a couple of weeks ago for being the centre and being out at the far blueline after before i had cleared our faceoff circle.

After that, I noticed we all started playing a more cohesive team game. It was really nice having Merc Svatos right there on the back check turning a 2-on-2 into a 2-on-3.

The key to this whole game is positioning. You don't even need to poke check if you are in position.

I really don't want to come across as a penis, because I understand it is a casual league, but I try hard to be positionally sound and a supportive teammate. I like to distribute the puck and am always looking to whip off a one-timer.

I think if everyone really focuses on what position they are, everything else will come together.

There is a playoff tree accessible from the team menu. I would really like to agree on a time to play games tomorrow night, so a bunch of us can play in the next couple playoff games.

Apparently, team captains have the option to toggle between playoff and regular games.

Also a funny note: I was lazy, and din't shave this morning. So I actually have a bit of stubble now. A real playoff beard!
