Default Apple store at Chinook Mall

will open on Sept 29 Wednesday. They will be giving out free tshirts for the first 250 customers to line up. No purchase necessary.

They will also open other new stores (Abercrombie, Hollister, etc.). I am not sure of the other stores but I think these were the new ones being built.

Note that white t-shirts have manufacturing delays and will not be available until Q1 2011.

My sister has decided she misses her big brother and is coming down to visit me that weekend. I was perplexed as why she would want to come down, and then I learned of the Chinook opening.

Its all starting to make sense.

I don't understand why anyone would want to go to Chinook on that day. September 29th will likely be as busy or busier than December 26th.

so in exchange for giving up 14 to 18 hrs of my life i'll get a t-shirt.....nice!!! aftr all t-shirts are selling for $12 at aeropostale (or $175 if you want to look like a bag and go for a ed hardy mess).......i wonder what happens if all 250 people try and put the t-shirt on at once?

my cubicle window looks right on the chinook parking lot - i get a front row seat to this gong show.

I don't get it.
Why would someone want to travel somewhere, for the opening of a store, that sells nothing they can't get online from the manufacturer, or from another retailer? Especially when that store is the second one in the same city.

This is why people make fun of Apple Fans.
"Oooh, the new store is opening, i have to get there!"
"Wait, isn't it exactly the same as the other Apple Stores?"
"Yeah, but I can look at ipods and laptops on a totally different shelf!"

This is great news for me, as driving across town to the Market Mall location was a major pain.

I can't wait to not buy anything from this new Apple Store.

I don't know what it is, but I'd rather buy my next iPod or AppleTV from anywhere other than the Apple Store.

I'm sure Abercrombie and Hollister have more to do with her coming down.

Great news.. now the Apple Store in Market Mall will only have a half million customers jammed in it.

As a bit of trivia, I sold my Market Mall Apple Store T-shirt on eBay with a $25 iTunes card for $90. Their opening was kind of cool.

Not really a joke...September 29th is the opening of the new expansion in Market mall and will probably just be an absolute gong show.

September 29th is the grand opening of the new wing of Chinook Mall. This also happens to be the day the new Apple store opens. It will be absolutely chaotic there.

I think Abercrombie & Fitch/Hollister/Burberry will be draw lots of people as well. Probably all the girls head off there and to the other clothing stores that are opening up and the men head off to the Lego Store, EBGames and the Apple store.
