Acutally Assassin's Creed 2 was one that took quite a while.. according to one torrent site the server emulator was out early April, while the game was out early March, and the full crack wasn't out till near the end of April.

But you are still right, from the AC2 crack nfo:

Thank you Ubisoft, this was quiete a challenge for us, but
nothing stops the leading force from doing what we do. Next
time focus on the game and not on the DRM. It was probably
horrible for all legit users. We just make their lifes easier.

Knowing my luck BestBuy will sell out and I'll end up watching crappy Tuesday TV instead of inventing the wheel again.

and he's dead on, the only ones being hurt by these practices are the legit users. so the piraters had to wait a few extra weeks, big deal. they ended up getting a more stable and less intrusive product in the end than the people that actually paid for it

I'm trying to think of where I might be able to pick this up downtown, but nothing is coming to mind. Can anyone think of anything, or should I just get it from Steam tonight?

a) You could also try TD HMV and either of the Radioshacks (TD, Bankers).

b) I think its out today (it had better be), as Futureshop and Bestbuys are now showing that they have in-stock stock at all locations.

1 Gig patch going through now, I wonder if I might get lucky with getting it working now. I bought the game with my Canadian CC, with my Canadian billing address.

Guess I'll find out in 16 mins

Im glad it wasnt just me... I thought I had it all predownloaded last week, and then it starts downloading a new GB of content now. I thought I had screwed up beacuse this is the first game that I have used Steam (or any digital download service for).

Sadly, I have only Telus ADSL so the 1 GB takes forever to download ...

Thor - What are you having troubles with? The game actually loading up, or the download not working properly? What kind of system are you running?
