Big Bang Theory is leading off Thursday nights because it outgrew the 2 1/2 Men audience. I don't agree at all. The show will become even bigger on Thursday night.

Good. I watch that show exclusively for Kaley Cuoco, and for Jim Parsons I guess.

The Comedy Network as moved the Daily Show and the Colbert Report up an hour to 11:00. Making room for Conaw at midnight?

NEW YORK — There's Madonna, Oprah and now ... "Conan."
Conan O'Brien took the simple approach Wednesday in announcing the name of his new talk show.
"Conan" will kick off Nov. 8 on CTV and The Comedy Network.

It's not my opinion, but rather years of TV ratings trends say that a 9:30 show moved to 8 will simply not fair as well (initially, at least), partly because it's too early in the night. Big Bang hit a 6.0 rating for an episode at 9:30 last year, virtually impossible to do that at 8. The move is smart for CBS because they'll hold on to their Monday stronghold even if Mike & Molly is only modest, now they have a big Wednesday stake with Survivor and Criminal Minds, and Big Bang + Shatner on Thursdays speaks for itself.

I'm continuing the Fringe & House addictions...
Going to give both Chase and The Event a shot to fill the gap for Lost.

the Big Bang Theory is not really a 930 show though, and it used to be on at 8 and 830 in its first few years
its also going up against Community (a show I like but isn't highly rated) Bones (modestly rated) and a new show from ABC
Its a time slot that is definitely up for grabs on thursday, they all ready have the highest rated shows at 9 and 10 with CSI and the Mentalist
I would be very surprised if the Big Bang Theory wasn`t the #1 show in its time slot
its very smart for CBS as well because whatever is on after 2 and a half men gets massive ratings, and CBS thinks it can do that same thing with the BBT. It might not be as highly rated as it was at 930 behind 2 and a half men, but CBS will get higher ratings than if they kept it on mondays and put mike and molly and the shatner show on thursday

Years in which it wasn't very highly rated.

Not at all up for grabs as far as the other nets are concerned, CBS owned it last year with Survivor and they'll own it again with Big Bang and Shatner. Nothing else will be remotely close.

Nope. At 9, Grey's spanked CSI last year and The Mentalist barely edged Private Practice. http://bit.ly/dm9ymb

Definitely... overall it's a bunch of wins for CBS: Monday stays strong; Mike & Molly and Bleep My Dad Says are ensured at least modest ratings with the 2.5 Men and Big Bang Theory lead-ins, respectively; Wednesday gets stronger with a Survivor-Criminal Minds 1-2 punch, and Thursday's ratings overall will be the same if not slightly better. Nobody loses here except Community and 30 Rock whose audiences will further erode.

House -- 6/10... how did 13 become the most interesting character on this show?
Mike & Molly -- 7/10... worth a few chuckles, but it's just fat joke after fat joke.
The Event -- 7/10... a complete mess. You'll probably have to watch the pilot twice to make any sense of it. It's like a 24, Lost, FlashForward cross with time travel and overacting.
Chase -- 8/10.... surprisingly alright. Kinda like Covert Affairs if you've watched that, a blonde lead named Annie who beats up guys. Basically.
I also plan on watching Hawaii and Lone Star tonight.

House was good. That character is just all sorts of awesome. I don't know what everyone was expecting as the reviews on this board have been pretty sub-par. It lived up to my expectations.
And a big surprise for me was Hawaii Five-0. Production values are pretty outstanding, and I was impressed by the cast.

in 18-49 yes, I didn't say that. I said in ratings, obviously in advertisers minds only 18-49 really matters so that is what is important but I did say ratings and in that case I wasn't wrong.
and when the Big Bang Theory was on at 8 and 830 was in its first and second year when it wasn't as highly known as it is now
And I clearly said it would win the time slot, what I meant by time slot up for grabs was that CBS saw it as up for grabs in that they could move a steady show like Survivor (which is probly close to its end) away from the spot and try and capture a new night for its comedies. It tried the last few years on wednesdays but never with an established hit like now.
