It is great with coke but fantastic with ginger beer.
I've had a couple people recommend Dark & Stormy's to me before; I'll have to give it a try soon. Any particular brand of Ginger beer I should make it with?

"Premium" vodka is a waste of money. Vodka is nothing but alcohol and water. All you're buying when you buy 'premium' stuff is a few ppm of various minerals.

No one can tell the difference between vodkas once they're mixed anyways. And I'll bet you a pube sandwich you can't tell your precious Belvedere from Russian Prince in a caesar.

Sobieski and Russian Standard Vodka are two cheaper brands that are fantastic. I'll take Sobieski in a blind taste test over any brand.

To add to your point, the only diff between "premium" and rotgut vodka is the amount of filtering it has. This is a cheap cheap CHEAP process. "Premium" vodka is the biggest racket out there right now as far as profit margins on liquor sales go.

Had a couple of homebrewed IPAs tonight, and a Bridgeport IPA as well. Preferred the homebrew to the commercial, and I don't think I was being biased.

I could probably own shares in Granville Island and Okanagan Springs with the money I've invested in their product.. New Belgium Fat Tire is a must when I head stateside though.

Don't touch the harder stuff often, but when I do it's gotta be rum & coke.

My go-to domestic beer and pre-game shot posted back-to-back at the top of this page, well done(Keith's and SoCo, for those using a different posts per page limit).

I would take that wager. But my vodka ratio is 1 to 1

I would also call Russian Prince boat gas

Well last night started with me and my buddy polishing off a 26 of Bombay Sapphire in about an hour, followed by Vietnamese food and then another case of beer. Aparently I got another buddy to drive me to the grocery store pissed out of my tree around 9:30 last night where I bought a tonne of meat and salad stuffs, then came home and ate a baseball steak, drank more beer, and passed out.

I do not remember any of this.

Bombay Sapphire is EVIL!....

Yep if your budget can stand it drink a vintage port if not a LBV (late bottle vintage) is a fraction of the price and many of the same features or a nice woody tawny like in your picture...good taste

Oh for sure. I didn't even pay for it, and it was given to me. I did make myself a plain martini with it last night, and in that, you can tell the difference.

Tip for those who like expensive vodka. Kirkland vodka....cheap, and the rumour is, it's actually grey goose. Certainly tastes higher-end than the regular ones.
