The defense was the definition of swiss cheese defense. I know it's the CFL, but man how many big plays can you give up? Defiantly something they'll have to fix.
Disappointing that Stamps didn't end up winning in OT to make the coach get roasted beyond belief.

Hey so going back to that last play in regulation.
If the stupid roughriders didn't take a 5 yard loss to set up the field goal in the middle of the field it would have been a no brainer to kick the fg.
For best reaction of the season watch the TSN highlights after the game. After they missed the rouge at the end you see a slow mo of Ken Miller looking all sad and Dressler in the back yelling at him WHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? hehe

Can't blame Burris or the offense for this one as they scored enough points. The defense reverted to last years play where they couldn't cover anyone. Teams are going to use this tape going forward, hopefully Jones can make adjustments. I thought they could lose this game but I'm really shocked by how poorly the defense played. Wed haven't seen anything close to this all year and then out of nowhere it's like they forgot to play.
Credit to the Riders as outside of that laughable call at the end of the game they called a really good game on offense and outcoached the Stamps by a wide margin with the exception of that brutal punt call at the end.

The entire team has a right to be ripping mad. I'm trying to think of a more stupid coaching decision in the CFL, that ranks right up near the top.

I think Jones screwed up tonight. Too many blitzes, when everyone should have been back in coverage and double-teaming Fantuz. Clearly SASK wanted to throw deep all night.
Burris gets too jacked up for games in Regina.
Bizarre call by Miller at the end of the 2nd half.

Or a screen pass to Cornish. Not sure why they didn't use him more. The times he did get the ball, he made things happen.

To turn this loss into somewhat of a positive..
This game shows that Stamps that they can still lose and they will need to be much better to have a chance to win the Grey Cup.

Well we better finish first because we are not winning a playoff game over there.

Totally agree. Durant was in shotgun snap the whole night and knew the blitz was coming at almost every play. All he did was put the ball up in the air and let his receivers make the plays.

How can WIN hold SASK to 2 points, and the "top defence" in the CFL look like swiss cheese?
How can CGY not cover 5 Canadian receivers?

Yep. Stampeders need to take care of business and not let it come down to that Regina game as a win is not in the cards in that stadium.

the 14th man of course!
The Stamps have just been playing out of their minds the first 10 games. This is what the defence has been like the past 5 years.
Plus we just finished playing the Eskimos 3 straight times.

The positive press got to Jones head and he refused to make adjustments tonight. Hopefully this is a wakeup call.

I think Sask underestimated the Bombers, relaxed, and were totally looking ahead to this big game against Calgary at home and rested their legs.
Or they took a couple of bucks under the table.

No the defence was one of the top ranked in 2008, and also under Denny Creehan the first few seasons they defence tops in the CFL. So this is not accurate at all.

You must have missed all the huge chokes they give up at crucial times. The only game where they didn't do that was the grey cup win in Montreal. Stats mean crap all.

Blame the Stamp defense maybe for looking a little out of sync, but I doubt we'll see that again this year. Sask hit every big play they threw, and the Stamps secondary was looking for the ball, so once the catch was made there were a lot of YAC. I am guessing next time Sask doesn't hit every big play, or does Jones' defense play as tight.
Calgary wins the game if the low hit on Burris is called on 1st and goal in OT.
Blown call, Suitor thankfull things moved fast after that so he didn't have to make any excuses up for Saskatchewan.
Nothing show confidence more in not trusting your kicker, with the wind, from 35yd out. It is Congi, but still. Odds are a lot better of that then trying to kick it 70 yards through the back, or, angle it towards the side of the endzone from 50. Bush league call, beyond belief.
And, look for that to come back later in the season for the Riders...next time on a longer kick they'll want to make it up to him, he'll pooch it short and end up being returned the other way for 6.
