Big Game for the Dolphins this week-end, if they can fight against the Vikes and not necessarily win but play them right to the end I know they are for real and will be a contendor for a playoff spot, if they get blown out all is not loss but I won't feel as good about our chances. I have a bad feeling that Camirillo is going to have a huge game against the Fins, with 10 days to prepare I believe Favre will develop some chemistry with him and iron out his kinks. If the fins somehow win this they would be 2-0 with winning both there first two games on the road. That would be huge in a run for a playoff spot in a tough division. We're also going to need a huge game from CFL standout Wake, he looked good against Buffalo, but the Vikes are not the Bills. Also gonna have to find a way to get the ball to Marshall even more.
Dolphins first round draft pick Odrick is apparently out for this up coming game. Looks like he suffered a hairline fracture and is out for two weeks.

He was one of my Keepers. Pickings are very slim in a 12 team league that keeps four players each. He was the best option available believe me.

A lot of money (stupidly) has been placed on the Jets already which has caused that line to move in the Patriots favor.

Marvin Lewis calls Chad Ochocinco a "knucklehead" during teleconference with Baltimore media Wednesday.
http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/spor...eg_or_two.html
Quote:
“Well, that’s the perception because knucklehead has to have fun. He didn’t get the attention [that Lewis did]. He didn’t go to the University of Miami. He didn’t have that attention growing up. He kind of dances to a different drummer a little bit that way. But as far as the game and practice and everything, he’s as intense in practice as Ray is. And I think that’s what helped him play well. He practices [hard]. I have to pull him out of practices, I have to pull him out of plays against the defense because he wants to take every rep in practice. So that part, they kind of share that. I think Chad really looks to Ray for guidance, and I think that’s a good thing. Ray has helped him do some of his sideways acting a lot and to keep him mindful of what’s important.”
|
Quote:
In praising former Bengals and current Ravens wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Lewis again singled out Ochocinco, saying, “[Houshmandzadeh is] one of the guys who also helped the knucklehead receiver I got here to do better.”

T.O. and 85 both left for the locker-room before the 1st half was over vs. NE, so Palmer had to attempt a Hail Mary pass without them.

Kevin Kolb and Stewart Bradley both failed there concussion tests today, so Vick will likely be starting on Sunday. I know it's only the Lions this week, but Andy Reid has to be praying for an average performance from Vick that's just good enough to get a win.
I still can't get over how much better the offense looked with Vick back there. It's making me wonder if Vick doesn't give the Eagles a better chance to win this year than Kolb. They're not a Super Bowl team either way, but Vick's mobility could neutralize a lot of the offensive line questions.

No worries, I should have added a smiley face. Just giving you a hard time. If Knoshon can stay healthy he'll be solid, I expect he'll get 2/3 of the carries every game

Because Kolb sucks. Bad draft pick, bad timing and bad player.
I guess I'm not really a fan of his.

Albert Haynesworth was "limited in practice today with a ankle injury".

Yeah, I had a higher hopes for him due to all the praise he was getting from NFL guys before the season and in camp. I don't know if they were wrong about him or if he just ran up against a Green Bay team he wasn't prepared for. Mind you, the hype around him before the season reminds me of the hype that Trent Edwards got a few years ago.

Wait, what? I've always thought of Ochocinco as a media attention ho but not an idiot. I can't ever remember him throwing teammates under the bus, being a jerk, whining about his catches. He's no where near being in TO's league. Portis isn't bad either, he just likes to play the fool and dress up for the media.

Former Bronco great Shannon Sharpe accused of sexual assault and has taken a leave of abscence from his CBS gig.
Quote:
According to The Denver Post, Sharpe announced in a statement his intention to step away from the NFL Today program. Sharpe has been accused of sexual assault by Michele Bundy in the case type of "family violence." Bundy has been granted a temporary restraining order by the Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta.
The Post reported Bundy alleged that Sharpe threatened her life and forced her into sex, adding that Sharpe has not been arrested or charged with a crime.

If the 49ers offense is as inept this week as it was against the Seahawks, expect to see the pressure build on Jimmy Raye, the OC. There are rumblings that he was a big issue with what happened last week. Things like flipping through his play sheets not being able to find the terminology for the play he was thinking of calling, mistakes in his calling, etc. He sounds like he is being set up to be the fall guy if things continue to flounder.

SPORTSbyBROOKS is reporting that the Black Eyed Peas are going to play at halftime during the Super Bowl in February.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have some one do something Country since it is Texas after all?

Play? I don't think any member of that 'band' plays anything.

Kolb is a rhythm and timing QB perfect for the west coast offense. Unfortunately there was non of that happening in that first quarter on Sunday. Kolb stood in the pocket too long and waited on throws. I don't think he will do that often. Vick bought time with his legs and once the defense started to account for his running it opened up down field for him to throw.
I still believe Kolb will be a very good QB in this offense. I don't think the Eagles were prepared for the likes of Clay Matthews...
