Weird. I read that Nikitin has a shot at the 6th D spot in St. Louis, but how on earth does that help your team this season or even next ?

Whats the big deal? His whole team is a high risk-high reward situation, just adds to it. Don't put your guys on waivers if you don't want to lose them.

More like a high-risk low reward. These guys are not exactly the second coming of Crosby.

Who would put the second of crosby on waivers?

I should've said low risk-high reward...there's been waiver wire guys who gone on to decent careers...Niemi, Gustavsson, Penner etc...Not guarantee these guys will work out but the more you have better your chances. Plus he's playing within the rules. If he has roster spots and patience, all the power to him.

I have to do the best job that I can possibly do to rebuild as quickly as possible. If that means picking up someone off waivers, then that's what I need to do.

I know it's annoying to lose someone off waivers, and personally I don't like using it despite my reputation for claiming everyone practically.... but, you got to do what you got to do sometimes.

Nikitin has more potential to be in the NHL than a couple of my players IMO. That makes him more important to my team than those guys, so he will come in, and they will go.

Giroux cleared......don't you mean, off to Florida?

Needed a final body on the AHL team and he should be on the 1st line in the AHL. Had 100+ points in the AHL last year but is also in his late 20's.

I knew Nikitin was going to get claimed when his name was typed in big bold letters.
