I played an OTP game today, and earned my rookie card. Hello shooting accuracy, speed and acceleration.

Good start to the season so far. Over .500 thus far which is a good thing.
What we really need to work on though is really toning down on passes through the slot. It's a lot more difficult this year to connect one timers through there and it's the one spot of the ice the defense will be very focused on shutting down. We gotta make more use of the attack zone and move the puck around outside the low slot in order to set up scoring opportunity. We need to take more advantage of open ice and players that are open rather then turnover the puck by trying to make a cross crease one timer. Basically go for the easier, more reliable plays when there there, as well be creative with the puck yourself if you have space.
We also could use some set plays so we know as a unit what to look for. We'll get more into that when we start design plays and tactics.
Another thing is be aware the distance your passing the puck and the power you put into it. We don't have the best control of pucks clearly, so we need to be more conservative with the strength we put on passes to players that are close by.

I was laughing with the guys a few days ago online that I whip passes like Dion Phaneuf.
I really have the 150 foot pass down, now I need to work on the 5 footer.

Would appreciate more passes back to the d men on the point, rather than forcing crappy shots all the time.

I try to pass back a lot but with the action cam I cant ever see them. Its usually blind passes and me hoping a D man is there. Plus I have seen a lot of passes back to the point picked off and taken on a breakaway.

I don't know how you can use the action cam as a forward.
I used to use it all the time as a dman, and still do sometimes, but the whole point of using as a forward is mysterious to me. Using it on defense gives you a great perspective for the offensive zone in. You get a great view of the action, when to pinch, when to step up, etc. But that is because you usually have the entire playing surface in your field of vision.
As a forward, I find it very hard to make passing plays. You can't see anything, or make any plays.
I guess if you're a guy who likes to shoot a lot it is great, I just don't find it very conducive to team play, and I don't mean that to be insulting in any way.

Starting to get some complaints about pass calling. Please only do it when you're open. Especially when the goalie has the puck; leave it to the defencemen to decide if the path is clear. After all we can hear and see who's stick is tapping on the ice.

I am a playmaker and pass a lot more than I shoot. What Camera would you suggest that I use?

Classic, you can see everything. As someone said before though, it's not as intense.

As a forward, classic without auto-zoom.
As a dman, I use overhead, so I can see the entire offensive zone.

i am going to have to take a break until they can fix auto back skate. i am so sick of getting blown by in the neutral zone because my guy chooses to try and start skating backwards and cant keep up any speed. so frustrating.
