Take the drugs! They are awesome!!!
I wasn't born with wisdom teeth so never had to get that procedure done but when I had some other work I got sedated.

My line as leaving the office: "Can I get some more of that s**t for the ride home."

 My mom was so proud!

It appears as though you might be receiving oral sex from a group of male hockey players in your signature photo.

yes. Some people get it worse than others depending on how invasive the surgery was.

Yeah, both the bottom ones were impacted, and had to be broken up, and such.

Yup. I had swelling for a week after wards.

Had all 4 taken out and the pain was fine until about the 5th day. Then my lower jaw was throbbing like a s.o.b. A couple of days of excruciating pain then it ebbed off and the swelling went away. Healed up good. The top 2 didn't hurt at all.

i'm quite thankful all 4 of my wisdom teeth grew in the same direction as the rest of my teeth. i've never been one to enjoy going to the dentist at all, let alone going to rip some teeth out

Well......... I just got back 2 minutes ago from getting my wisdom teeth out, and here is my full review:
I was awake for the whole procedure. Went in as terrified as could be, afraid I wouldn't be numbed completely, terrified of needles, and so forth. Long story short, it didn't hurt a bit. I hardly felt the needles, they were not nearly as bad as I had envisioned, and although I had these sceptical thoughts in my mind that I wasn't completely numb, the tooth extraction didn't hurt a bit. Tiny bit of pressure, not much, and they were all out in probably about 15 minutes. All in all, not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Glad I saved 300$ by staying awake and not being put out.

I suppose the healing part is yet to come though... that could be painful.

Are you sure it took 15 minutes? I was awake (but sedated) and thought it only took 15 minutes, but they were actually working on me for 3 hours...

Haha yea I'm sure. Both my memory and local clocks tell me that is the case.

I just had local when they pulled mine. I was probably 17 or so. It sucked balls. 2 of them just chipped and chunked off in my mouth. That was gross. Then I just sat around in bed for a couple days drinking through a straw reading car and driver and watching movies. That part is kind of good.

Sorry for being a thread necro but had some xrays done on Monday and my bottom left wisdom is impacted and will require a visit to an oral surgeon.
Any good recommendations in preferably the Downtown core?
Reading on Beyond it sounds like Summers in the NW is hit and miss on terms of satisfaction.

Also what is the ball park cost for two lower extractions?

I had all 4 of my my wisdom teeth out before they actually grew in. I was awake for it because I was more scared of being rapped. From what I thought I felt pretty normal after what ever drugs they had given me. Every one is different but it seemed like smooth sailing and he was finished up when I thought perhaps he had just done one tooth.

So I was well off, the worst part was the throbing in my cheaks the next few days.
