The Stamps could use a bit more pressure, but they've only allowed 3 first downs in the 1st half. If they keep doing what they're doing they'll be fine.

Unbelievable play calling by Dickenson. The QB draw for the TD was sheer genius. He is mixing the plays beautifully.

If it weren't for two big plays, this game is 26-0 Calgary, more if Maver would make some kicks.

Congratulations to the Stampeders all-time leading rusher Joffrey Reynolds!

Not the greatest half and much closer than it should be due to missed field goals and two ######ed plays that ended up in 14 points for the Eskimos.

The special teams has to be addressed as it's horrendous and lucky to be overshadowed by the offense and defense. Maver isn't even close and that will have to change as the easy part of the schedule is coming to a close and points will be at a premium against better teams.

Nice 57 yarder by Prefontaine, that'll give the Esks momentum.

Disappointed the Stamps D let the Esks drive the ball in 25 seconds to get into range though. They are more to blame than the O this half, they haven't hurried Ray at all.

Wow. 57 yards. Can't remember the last time I've seen a field goal that long.

Janikowski kicked a 60+ yarder for the Raiders in Cleveland last season.

Is there any possible way we can get rid of Milt Stegall?

Wow. What a joke these TSN guys are, you would think they are rooting for the Esks. Maver missing two field goals sucks, ya. He's a rookie. But aside from that and the Burris INT, the Stamps are firing on all cylinders. Joffrey has 68 yds on 11 carries, Burris completed 81% of his passes in the first quarter, the Stamps are winning. Not sure what Calgary has to do to get any credit.

Yup. 61 yards. (I had to look that up, though)

I predict the Stamps will win by 15, giving the TSN panel no choice but to give them credit.

First Half is done. The score is close 19-17 for Calgary. I am not sure the Eskimos are playing better than the Stamps because 14 points of their score came from Stampeder's mistakes. The only points that I can totally give them credit is the 50+ yards field goal by Prefontaine. Stamps 1st mistake was Burris throwing INT and the Eskimos scored a TD. The second one was a long pass by Ricky Ray, which Browner blew big time.

I thought Calgary is dominating this game. If you take off those mistakes, the game wouldn't even be that close. I am so surprised that Huf been making some minor mistakes lately sending Maver out for 40+ field goal. Last game he sent Maver twice and both were missed. Tonight so far, 44 yards and 50+ yards field goal. I don't think Maver's got the leg for 40+ yards field goals. The problem is Maver's confidence keeps going down with all those misses and I think that is a bad timing. Luckily for the Stamps they are 8-1 and way ahead of the 2nd and 3rd place team.

Joffrey Reynolds passed Kelvin Anderson's all-time rushing record with a 16 yards run. That was a nice play by Drew Tate though.

Calgary need to get rid of the mistakes and penalty problems. I still don't see Edmonton winning this game. I can see the offense and defense stepping it up in the 2nd half.

Couple things:

1. Everyone loves cheering for the underdog.
2. Stamps expectations are so high that to be up by only 2 at the half is going to be viewed as a fail.

Well, so much for momentum off that field goal.

Hank's definitely doing his job tonight.

The Stamps are moving the ball at will right now. It doesn't show up on the scoreboard much but they are a model for a successful offense right now - using the run to set up the pass, and they are deadly efficient right now.

Burris on pace to throw for 400 yards, Reynolds on pace to rush for 200...how often does that happen in the same game? They could have 45 minutes of possession too.

Not over yet of course*
