Hall is already on the roster. That goes for all the prospects that were drafted this summer I think.

Also, just a reminder for rosters....if you want updated rosters just go into an online versus match and it will prompt you to download an updated roster. Then just back out and make sure to save them.
Good workaround until they release them as a download.

does anybody else find playing defense a futile task online (versus)?
It's making the game almost unplayable for me, as that's my favourite game mode

its very interesting this year. since hitting is so different, and they nerfed the ability to poke check and stick lift, you essentially just stand in the way. theres no real tools for a dman now since you cant tie up and such.

Un-$@#^%$#-believable.
I was playing a single player HUT tournament. I had a 2-0 lead in the 3rd period of the final game, and the wireless connection on my xbox dropped. It booted me out of the game, and when I restarted and logged back in, I got a message saying I didn't finish a game so now I get reduced puck awards... and I lost the tournament too.
2-0 lead in the 3rd period of the final friggin game! What a lame-ass setup that is. It's single player for crying out loud.
Edit: Oh look, all my players lost one game from their contracts too. How awesome.

A single player offline game did that to you? That is total BS.

Happens to me about 40% of the time, except I stay online instead of it booting my overall connection too.

Quick question about the HUT cards...
I just started playing and I've noticed there are two cards. One that looks normal and another card that has a starburst type background behind the person's picture. The name of the person is along the bottom of the picture rather than on the left like the other cards. I couldn't see anything special about these but am I missing something?
It looks like this:

The guy that has a card that looks like this is not an NHL player but some player from a European league.

The starburst players are the star players - not necessarily from the NHL, but from all leagues.
They are special players. Treat them kindly.

Ok. This is stupid.
I was disconnected 2 games in a row in HUT. Once In a tournament and once in single game. I have only played 4 games in HUT. My disconnection rate is 50% so far. Both times the games go in my loss column. Contracts are affected and EA so kindly tells me that my multiplier rate will be affected because I am unreliable. At least give me the chance to reconnect to the EA servers before exiting the game and giving me a loss in single player mode.

So far I'm really enjoying playing as a physical defensive defensmen.
That said, I REALLY dislike the forwards that don't bother coming back to help in the defensive end because they are too busy tapping their stick for a pass. It's a real annoyance when they do it when a computer goalie smothers the puck because they seem to auto throw the puck into a crowd of opposing players.

Ummm that isn't correct, I have 2 contract cards that are above that. One is 35 games, one is 25 games so you can have a contract longer that 16 games.
Does your player only have 16 games left until they retire?

How cheap? I'm on a quest right now to get them. I have an Atlanta flames home, but am looking to flip it.
The disconnects do suck, but on the other side of the coin I've been pulled on 4 times, and I'm glad those a**holes get to suffer for it.
I'm putting my buffaslug away and NJ retro up for auction closing tonight, my hope being Friday night is a busy one and there's gotta be a sucker out there. I will the shop for flames jerseys Monday night.

I bought the one for 250. The other I got for 750 I think it was. I bought 3 in total last night. Home/Away and Atlanta Flames

I had a glitch last night that I've seen on the EA forums.
Trying to play a WHL season game with Swift Current and it just stays stuck on the load screen.
