Probaly a dumb question or two, but, have you checked for debris in the port? I some how got a bit of an iron filing in my 3G port and could barely notice the difference when plugged in, except the not charging part. When I dug it out, it worked. Also, have you tried holding down the lock and home button together for a really long time?

Tried to clean the port. There was about a half a sweaters worth of lint in it but still no.
The battery is completely drained so the the two button salute wont do anything.

I think just more people on Rogers in general, especially with iPhones. Fido NEVER has iPhone 4s here and neither does Rogers. But Telus, Bell and Virgin seem to always have something in stock.

The thing with Rogers iPhone 4s is the fact that all the old 3G users are upgrading. And Rogers had that year of exclusivity.

I'm still torn between buying an unlocked 32 GB iPhone4 at $750 or getting an upgrade for $250 (I get the full discount). Also, that damnable antenna problem still lingers, overblown as it may be, and I'm left handed so it could be trouble. Mostly if I buy one now I want assurances that I can replace it for free when they release a fix.

i'm left handed and have never really noticed any reception problems. Also, if you get a case then you don't have to worry about it at all.

You will not be able to replace the phone because there will be no "fix", there will just be the next version of the iPhone which will mysteriously not suffer from the same problem.

Haha - just stopped by market mall to see if they have any in the Applestore - huge line in front with people loaded with camping chairs, blankets, pillows etc.
I want one of these pretty badly.....but I guess not badly enough to show up at 7am and spend 1/2 my day in a line for something that was released over a month ago.

I'll tell you what, that update may have worked. Things don't seem as clunky right now. Text boxes appear quicker, and there is less of a delay from when they open, to when I can type. Apps seem to open and load faster as well.

Anyone know if these $30 for 6GB data plans will be extended past their Sept 30 stated end dates due to scarcity reasons? I'd sign the wife up for one but can't line up for a day...
