Hey all,

Got an iPhone 4 last month, so I'm looking to unload my 3G. The phone is two years old. Few scratches here and there but the phone functions flawlessly. Great pick up for anyone on Rogers that's looking to get an iPhone and still locked into a contract! If you're on another network, you'd have to to some unlocking, but from what I hear it's not that hard.

Included will be:

- iPhone 3G
- Wall charger
- USB cable

Just a question for everyone who watches this thread. I don't know how unlocking iPhones works. I'm on Koodo, and they dont have iPhones but Telus does (same network). Will it work on Koodo if its unlocked?

It depends if Koodoo uses a sim card for their phones(HSDPA support since koodoo=telus). If they don't it wont work as it would be a CDMA network. if they use sim card's and you unlock an iPhone 3G it would work on the HSDPA network.

EDIT: After a quick check to the Koodo site they do use sim card's and telus's network so the iPhone 3G WILL absolutely work when unlocked.

So would I just go to a Koodo place and ask them to switch my number over? Sorry for the thread hijack HotHotHeat, I'm very interested in the phone, just want to make sure I know how to do everything before I commit.

If you have a current sim card in your current phone just take it out and place it in the iPhone 3G. No need to involve koodo at all. you can also disable data on the phone if you dont have a data plan.

but if I don't have a sim card in my phone )yes I'm very behind the times for a 21 year old) I'll have to get it set up with them?

Yes you will need to get switched by Koodo to a sim card plan. Tell them you have your own phone.
