Way too many guys listed as elite.
To me guys like Schuab, Ryan, Flacco are not elite yet, Potential is there but not yet.
Than theres Palmer, McNabb not Elite. They're on the downswing. I'd have hard time putting Romo, Big Ben, Manning Jr. in the elite group as well.
So for me the Elite are Manning Sr., Brady, Brees, Favre, Rodgers and Rivers.

Bruhaha between Vernon Davis and Crabtree during practice today. Singletary took them aside then took them both into the dressing room. Rumour is that V Davis, who is renouned for his work ethic, is fed up with Crabtree who has questionable work ethic.

Go back alley in Chicago Theo on them?
Although Mike isn't someone I would mess with. I would almost want him on my bench in hockey.

Peyton Hillis getting lots of support to be the starting tailback in Cleveland.
http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/pos...tart-in-week-1
This is the worst trade in Denver Bronco history, followed closely by the #14 pick in 2010 for the right to pick Alphonso Smith (probably will be cut) in 2009.

Of all the things that have gone on this summer, the most shocking of all is that Derek Anderson will be the starting QB for an NFL team. Sound like a really bad idea to start one of the few QB's in the league last year that was worse than JaMarcus Russell. If I'm an NFL owner and the best my GM and HC can come up with is Anderson I'm filling out their pink slips asap. The Cards look to be reverting back to the Cards. They took a slight detour for a couple of years but Dennis Green is right again as the Cards are who we thought they were.

The thing is that Derek Anderson may be better suited to play for a team like the Cards where he can heave the ball down the field and pray that Larry Fitzgerald can go get it. When he had Winslow and Edwards with the Browns under Romeo Crennel he did have a bit of success.
Problem is that Anderson is not a good accuracy guy at all. Kurt Warner was one of the best at getting off quick accurate passes to the hot route while taking the hit. Anderson will take the hit, but he'll overthrow that guy.
Not many teams are like the Chargers or Packers where they have a young stud future probowl QB waiting to take the reigns when the Future Hall of Fame guy retires, or gets sent out of town.

There are alot of backups in the league that could take a team to more success than Anderson. Anderson had that one year where he came out of nowhere and got to a prow bowl but he still threw a lot of picks that year and teams now have a book on him. I'm not sure I would feel comfortable with him even as a backup for example I would much rather have a guy like Bruce Gradkowski as a backup that can come in and not lose games for you. Both of the Vkings backups are better than Anderson, Troy Smith with the Ravens, heck I'd take Seneca Wallace over Anderson. I'm not alone on this opinion as there have been numerous article on the Cards wondering how they could let it get to this. The have had a few years now to gauge Leinart and should have had a better backup plan than Anderson. Really if you have no future plan in place you may as well bring back Jeff Garcia as he'll move the sticks and not lose games.

The thing is, I've read that Az would really like the keep the 2 rookies they have in camp, Max Hall and John Skelton.

So what team is going to pick up Sage Rosenfels when he gets cut Saturday? There is no way the VIkings are cutting Joe Webb.

My money is on he heads to a NY team called the Bills and is the starter this year in Buffalo. Then in the 2011 draft Buffalo selects Jack Locker to be their franchise QB.

From what I saw in preseason I would have Brandstater as the #2. I think they will go with Painter though as #2.
I was really happy with Angerer in this preseason. I didn't see him play a lot before this preseason. Amazing pick IMO in the 2nd round, guy is a great player.

IF Seattle doesn't position themselves to get Locker next year I would be shocked.

Roethlisberger's suspension cut from 6 to 4. But it appears Dennis Dixon is the starter heading into the season with Leftwich suffering a second-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5527499
Ndamukong Suh has been fined $7,500 for his roughing the passer penalty last Friday against Cleveland. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5527578
