I gave my guys engraved beer mugs.
Simply engraved with their name and role at the wedding. Wasn't too expensive and they loved it.

One of my best friends wasn't able to have me as a groomsman, but I was an usher, so he gave me a really nice bottle of Scotch.
Give something personal to each person.

I gave each of my groom's men a mug that had their name and their role on it. For example:
John Smith
Best Man
Richard McDonald
Groom's Man
Etc... Every time I am at one of their houses, the cup is either dirty from being used, or is in use while I am there. They seriously love them...
The only thing I would say to add to that is, lots of Grooms I know wish they had bought themselves whatever it was too, so they can all have one.

I'd looked at getting steins, but couldn't find one I liked... until after we'd bought the flasks.

Same here. I wish I had bought one for myself. I added a pic above.
All my guys use theirs all the time, as well!

Best one I got was my Bro bought a football, took it to fan fest and got it signed by the entire Stamps team at the time.

I gave a swiss army knife, also considered giving an engraved watch, cufflinks, money clip, or lighter

An engraved money clip is nice.
watches are also a plus.
I really do like the engraved flask idea as well.
The Harmonica idea is hilarious.

Any ideas?
Right now my best idea is a really nice pocket knife.

That was my best gift for being a groomsman. I have a 15 year old engraved Leatherman. The marriage is over, but my knife is still kicking.
I got a nice pocketwatch once as well.

Monogrammed overnight bags is what my brother got for us for his wedding. They were made by Eddie Bauer and fit enough stuff for the entire weekend. Nice touch as everyone in the wedding party had to travel to Ontario for his wedding despite the bride and the groom living in Calgary.

Hookers with the date of wedding engraved on them, and blow with small mirror and razor blade with name engraved on them.
