yah, it's freakin' annoying! I'm with Telus. Oh well. Not like I download new apps all the time.
I don't know if there is a way to stay logged in all the time, so you don't have to re-enter your PW all the time.

It's asking me as well. Had to sign up and now I have to put the password in every time. Much like with my iPhone previously. Annoying. That's one of the things I really liked about the BB and appworld. Not sure why they changed it.

I believe they are trying to get you to associate a payment system to your account, so you don't need to enter payment info when purchasing an app.

But why ask for a password each time? I guess it is more secure if you do have a payment scheme set up and you lose your phone, but it is annoying.

Yeah, mine is asking for a password each time as well. It didn't pop up until i tried to update an app.

Plugged my BB into my PC last night to transfer some files off and behold Bold 9000 on Rogers will update to 5.0.
It has been a while since I checked, so don't know how long it has been available, but I thought I would pass the info along to those who have not upgraded.

I *think* that means you are using a language other than english for the dictionary and/or the auto-complete stuff. I assume PT means portugese?
Go to options, language and text input, and check it.

I checked not that long ago, maybe a week or two, and they were still running 4.6
Thanks for the heads up, I updated to OS 5 last night, and I really like it so far, it seems much cleaner and sharper than 4.6, with a little more colour in the icons.
As for actual speed, it's too early to really compare the two, although no lag problems so far, and minor glitches (such as temperature when I roll over Weather Eye on the home screen, or score of the ball game over the Score app are up to date, I don't have to hit the BB button to bring up all the icons for the update of information to occur) seem to be fixed.

yea, i dont get the argument for saying phones are better because they have games on them. If you are buying a phone just because one has games, then you really, really have to consider something...

Exactly. I purchased something to be a phone, even a reminder tool and an email tool, not to mention a texting and BBMing tool, I certainly could not give a crap about games. I think I have played about 2 minutes of a game on my BB. I have no need for games on my phone.
