Default refinishing alloy rims

Hey, does anyone here have any experiences with having their tire rims refinished? Mine are pretty beat up -- Calgary winters -- so I was thinking of replacing them. However, I heard that you can have them refinished as an option...thoughts? Anyone?

Try Alberta Wheel Repair. Probably your best bet. Wait times vary depending on season.

Yup Alberta Wheel is a really good shop.
I actually used to date the daughter of the guy who owned it, and a friend of mine worked a couple summers there, they do some pretty good work.

Alberta Wheel is good...and try Pro Tire for your tires if you need any (they are in the same building - fantastic service).

I'd like to see a picture of the rims, a little elbow grease can go a long way with alloy rims.

A lot of tire shops use Ab Wheel. That's where Kal Tire sent mine to. Great job, until my pops dropped my rim while trying to 'help'.

I've had help like that too, LoL Repacking my hubs, my neighbor dropped my wheel bearings into the dirt/gravel when he stopped to say hi.

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll give them a ring. They're pretty beat up -- it's seems to be "peeling" in spots like clear coating coming off a car's paint job...
