People are competitive enough that just winning is satisfaction enough. My favorite FPS is Counter-Strike, the game is full of people wall hacking, aimboting, speed hacking ect. You just become proficient at noticing the signs and eventually they get banned. Old starcraft had issues with map hackers, they could literally see the entire map without scouting.

I have the replay now and will be watching it soon. If I feel something sketchy is going on I will request the game be replayed and if I am sure there is blatant cheating going on then I am afraid that Flames0910 will be removed =\.

I never posted anything on here about our game, it's just agame... just suck that the fact you had your brother Obs a game.....is bs..the fact we didn't know you were brothers was bs...should be in good standing which it wasn't.

checking IM is crap when there is voice avalable throught vent, just all the shadiness doesn't add up....

I've been around along enough to watch people play style change, ie move this unit here..so he doesn't know you have amap hack.....been apart of 20,000 plus game back in the day on SC1 ya kinda get a hint on wtf is going on......

it's just a game, i thought this would be fun..anyone whats to play send me a message, but as for the tounry i'm out..... i don't mind losing, i try different stuff each game..some works some doesnt....

ie if i expanded at the bottom, we would kave known 100% if u were cheating, and with double econ you would have lost..... congrats u win carry on...but i'm going to enjoy the game I looked forward to, to playing for a long time ....please continune to keep whatever ever crap u do in your games... i'm not apart of this anymore.

Actually it was made known a while ago that they were brothers...but it was in one of the other threads I believe. Information tends to get lost when you have 3 SC2 threads going at the same time :|

So I have watched the replay and I think the only thing I can do is request that the game be replayed.

Whether or not Torture actually was relaying information to Flames0910, it's just too hard to deny there was a lot of coincidences happening in that game. A single reaper accidentally going at the probe, the timing of Flames0910's pushes were just perfect. The fact Torture spends a majority of his time watching Beast also irks me, but the flip side to that is I'd spend more time watching Flames0910 since he plays my race so I may learn from him.

With that being said, the expo in question was under construction and unguarded during Andorphalin's first push and he completely walked by it, and he wasn't prepared to deal with the void ray that was waiting for him (which ended his push). If I knew a single void ray was waiting for me, it'd be the first thing to die. Instead it got charged and raped . The reaper, while coincidental, does happen to me from time to time, fat fingering when I want a rauder (or hitting R instead of D).

I don't think there is enough evidence to say there is blatant cheating going on, but I think replaying it will make sure that there are no questions at all, as even I am uncomfortable with the way some things went down. I will set time aside to observe when both players are available.

Every game I played (..all two of them lol) I let my opponent know that Flames0910 was my brother before I invited him as an observer and asked em if they were okay with that. Now you might argue that it's kind of awkward saying "No I don't want him observing the game" but there hasn't been a problem in any of my games as far as I know.

It's not like it's some shady fact that we've been trying to hide so that we can win the CP tourney and all of the glory and women that come with it.

So basically the accusation that he's maphacking still stands. Despite the fact that the ONLY thing out of the ordinary that happened in the game was that he checked a watch tower with a reaper. Come on.

And if you're concerned about the Missile Turret at the front of his base again, that's pretty common play for a Terran that saw both a Twilight Council and Void Rays. Twilight Council signifies either Dark Templars or High Templars and Terran (even though they have scan) are one of the best races to use Dark Templars against because each scan basically costs you 300 minerals and that's if you have a scan available and haven't been mule'ing.

If Andorphalin was maphacking (Or I was relaying information) he would have been marine heavy to deal with your void rays instead of running away because his Marauders couldn't shoot up. He also would have hit your undefended expansion first rather than going to your main where you had cannons....

I can confirm this, however I did feel a little foolish saying no, I don't like people thinking i'm suspicious of them cheating. And like I said earlier, the thought of them using it to their advantage flashed through my mind but I never really considered it seriously, and both while and after playing I am almost certain Torture didn't use (or need) it.

I don't want to cast doubt on your reason, but perhaps Flames0910 wouldn't want to make it so obvious? I think a replay is fair, and in the future maybe you guys shouldn't observe eachother for this reason.

My cable provider doesn't allow PPV.

I'm fine with not observing any of Flames0910's matches in the future so that all can be assured we're not cheating.

That said, I'm a little upset that it came to this stupidity. Part of the fun is watching and discussing the game with the other CPers that are observing at the time.

No, I don't. I think he's sucking a lot of joy out of what was shaping up to be enjoyable for everyone involved. It's a for fun tournament between friends not the Intel Extreme Masters. Calgary is a small city, should we submit all Participants to an identity check before they're allowed to play? Torture and I aren't the only people who know each other on this board.

The goal is to meet people, play some Starcraft, learn and have some fun.

I can tell you that from my perspective it doesn't seem so fun anymore.

To be honest I'd even be fine with obs as long as you ask; now that this whole 'ordeal' has occured people will know the 'risk'...like I said I learned from Flames0910 and am happy he observed my match with Torture. I know this sort of contradicts what I said earlier but...

Now where is the rest of my group, JayP, Starseed and Roygbiv..when can you guys play? Also is there way to have Wins/Losses recorded on the first post so we know where we stand in our group? Thanks
