Default Holy Smoke, Batman!

Anyone taken a look outside today? It looks like a foggy morning, the smoke is so bad! I 'm downtown and can really see it from up in our building.

An air quality warning has been issued from Alberta Health and Wellness:

http://alberta.ca/acn/201008/289768B...FC37084AA.html

Can't remember ever seeing it this bad in Calgary.

Edit: Here's a link to the smoke tracking system for BC and Alberta: http://www.bcairquality.com/bluesky/

Three quarters of CP is checking out that Holy Smoke BBQ place on Blackfoot today. Clouding up the entire city.

Half of BC is on fire.

Stupid hippies, always subjecting us to their second hand smoke.

There's a jet stream bringing in smoke from BC forest fires I think. Downtown just disappeared though...

I knew I should have stopped my run as soon as I got out of my building. Oh well, 8 K later and I'm sure my lungs are full of crap now.

That wasn't too SMRT.

Went to run a few errands at lunch and I thought there was a building nearby on fire, that's how bad it was/is. Brutal.

Wow. Lung damage time.

I couldn't believe the joggers I saw out at lunch. I felt bad for my lungs just for walking to Chinatown.

So how many cars would it take to generate the same amount of smoke from these fires?

I'm pretty sure the smog in shanghai is more from their factories and not from cars.
