Bring back the reputation rating system (one of its 2 incarnations) and then see the level of hostility rise.
Although at least then all of the rage and people looking to complain about something/anything, and cry for their opinion and voice to be heard on par with everyone else (although posting 2x as much (mostly garbage) as everyone else) will be concentrated in those couple threads.
