You can never go wrong with Burden In My Hand. One of my favourite songs of all time.

Loud Love would be one of their better tunes.

If they ever tour to Alberta we should get a CP group together...

Oh no, someone trying to be successful and relevant past their 20's! What a jerk.

I'm a Soundgarden fan, but I have my doubts about this. These reunions tend leave a lot of people dissatisfied. If they just do what they did back then, they will be considered a has-been. If they try to do something new, it will compared to the old-stuff and probably not hold up. Not an easy task by any means. I wish them well though, they were a great band.

I'm a huge Soundgarden fan as well and I also have my doubts, but Alice in Chains proved to me that it can be done right. I'd like to see a continuation of where 'down on the upside' left off... but I'm expecting a commercialized badmotorfinger/audioslave album.

From the April 16th show at The Showbox in Seattle. I can't wait for the tour.

Man I always get tripped out by old threads getting bumped, and I am formulating a response in my head as I read it thinking it is a new thread... then I see a post I have already made with the exact response I was thinking of.

Weird.

It took me way too long to realize this thread wasn't about Savage Garden reuniting. I was really confused why there were so many excited people...

I need to go to bed.

You got me excited, so I went to their website:

It is with great pleasure that we can finally let you all know what we have been working on. On September 28th, we will be releasing a new retrospective called Telephantasm. It includes songs from all of our albums and E.P's, including "Black Rain", an unreleased track from the Badmotorfinger sessions. Plus, we are releasing our first ever DVD which will include never before seen video's, and much more.

Now I'm just disappointed. Sounds pretty lame.

I don't think it sounds lame at all. Some new material would be awesome, but there is enough here to keep fans interested. It's more than just a greatest hits compilation with one previously unreleased track.

The most exciting part to me is that there will be a tour. There are confirmed reports that an Australian tour will happen next year which can only mean a North American tour is in the works.

I'm still holding out hope they will tour with Pearl Jam so Matt Cameron can play for both bands.

I loved seeing that brief interlude of Birth Ritual in that movie Singles.

This really is exciting!
