If anyone is in the mood for a real good laugh scroll down just past halfway of video player at http://edmonton.ctv.ca/ for " Hallsy holds nothing back on Eskimos". Brian Hall just lets it rip and spares nobody. Outside of marvelling over his hair and trying to determine if it's the world's greatest comb-over or toupee the end is particularily funny where the reporter asks who else should be fired. Hall just starts snapping.

I have to admit, I just don't get the same glee about potential Eskimos firings that I would for the Oilers. Maybe it's the fact that these guys make peanuts compared to their NHL counterparts (and have throughout their careers), and the fact that in a small league they'll have much more difficulty landing a new job.

I get all kinds of satisfaction watching the good ship Eskimo implode. Takes more gloss off of that team and their pathetic fans.
Is that silence I hear? Nope just the sobbing of thousands of Oilers and Eskie fans LOLOL...whats better is the Eskies cant even draft good players with their high picks!

To an extent I agree. I watched the camera pan the Eskimos locker room after the loss to the Stamps and though that some of these guys are going to get cut and they really don't make alot of money in the CFL considering how punishing the game of football is and this will be the end of the line for their football careers and they don't have a lot of money to fall on like NHL or NFL players. Same goes for the coaches so I feel bad for the people losing their jobs.
However I will never, never, ever feel bad for Edmonton fans. They had it really, really good in the 80's and have been gloating and living off that success for decades. I'm really hoping that having the worst football and hockey team in their perspective leagues has finally brought the fans back to earth. However I highly doubt it.

While Tillman would be controversial he might be the best man for the job in Edmonton. Hallsy is right when he said this goes back before the last Grey Cup. First media guy I have heard who gave credit where credit was due for that Grey Cup with Jason Mass (my fav esk).
Its sad how in one league the oilers claim to make no money, yet in the CFL - Edmonton is the richest team and has allowed their fortune of having the best stadium in the league that rakes in the most money to come first before the on field performance.
The Defence and Offensive line have been terrible for 5 years minimum. The last good defensive player was AJ Gass and he didnt have any knee joints left after he retired.
The Keply resignation pisses me off as much as anything. He should have been defensive coordinator but no they stuck him with Linebackers coach. Its funny how the only "man" in the whole debacle quit rather than be fired.

There's no doubt in my mind he's the best man for the job however it will be a tough sell to many liberal thinkers. I'm not saying what he did was right or acceptable to that girl but according to this article what he did wasn't horrific by any means and the guy was messed up on medication at the time;
http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/F...829/story.html
If that exact case happened to one of my best under those circumstances I would still continue to support him as I know people aren't perfect and there's reasonable cause that it was simply drug related.

I think Labinjo was lucky just getting a fine...If the Labour Day Classic gets out of hand, things could get very nasty between the Esks and Stamps.

He didn't do anything that deserved more than a fine so not sure why he was lucky.
if anyone was lucky to only get a fine it was the Eskimo players that started it and then kept it going with their attempted cheap shots.

How is it that the best reporter that covers the CFL doesnt even work for a network that broadcasts the games.
TSN - hire Arash Madani. You already scooped up Dwayne Forde from TheScore, get on that already.

Except for the fact that they have Labinjo on tape holding an Edmonton player down and then dropping knee bombs to the guys head and body.

Good for him.
Not sure what that changes other than the fact that he should get a pat on the back from his teammates and perhaps a raise next time his contract comes up.

So what world do you come from where a guy should be rewarded for kneeing an opponent in the body and face repeatedly well after the play has ended?
He's lucky he didn't get suspended.
