This city needs more country stations.

kthx.
how about a new one? Bring back The Breeze 103.1. I need to hear John Tesh's luxuriant voice again.

That's the thing I don't get, we can have 3 or 4 stations all playing some variant of top-40/pop; and every once in a while, someone will try to take on CJAY; but Country 105 seems to just float by unchallenged. Sure, occasionally someone will try a hybrid station that'll play some crossover country, but no one goes straight head-to-head with them.

Sure, in a lot of markets, it wouldn't make sense, but I can't believe no one has tried it in Calgary.

I'd like to see the AM 1060 format on FM. I dig classic country, but get kind of nauseous anytime I accidentally scan through Country 105.

The Stern channels are fullllllllllll of commercials. Seems like 10 minutes sets sometimes. Gotta pay him somehow I guess. Lord knows they don't have enough subscribers to cover his contract.

At least make the effort to read a couple posts in a thread before you post your 'witty' reply.

How much Nickelback will this station play? You can never get enough Nickelback.

No, you're the one who needs to be shown a picture of that guy. The joke has already been made, and it flopped the first time. For someone to come in and make the same joke that already sucked, again, is just brutal.

I listened to this a bit last night, and was only able to put up with it for about 4 songs before I had to turn it off (Gwen Stefani, Rockwell, Ke$ha, then some 90s dance-pop something). Their playlist is way too broad.

I'll be surprised if it survives to see the fall 2011 BBM book.

Hmm, we need a station that just plays advertising jingles like they had in 'Demolition Man'.

Yes, but are you prepared to only be able to dine out on 5-star Taco Bell? The only "restaurant" to survive the great restaurant wars?

...Yes, I too can't believe I remember that from the movie...yeash

sure seems to me that they are light on their candian content at the moment.........anywyas they seem to like to spin that rhianna/eminem song a couple of times during the work day........

as an aside i was big on satellite radio for a the first couple of months - but then i realised that they seemed to be on an 8 hour rotation - so i felt like i was listening tot eh same stuff on the drive to work and the drive home.
