There very easily could be a decent part of the station in 10-15 years from now.

Right now, 1:20am, there's a jackhammer going full-on, sounds like it's coming from the 69th Street station. Looks like it's another night for ear plugs.

I guess I'm in the dark on this Sudan issue. Are the Sudanese immigrants known for higher crime-rates than other statistical groups?
I've noticed that people can tell when you're afraid of them. Then, the cycle begins; you cross the street out of fear, they cross to meet up out of anger, and boom, conflict.

Most humans are good people IMO. I am not afraid of walking around in the daytime in any neighbourhood in Calgary. Walking around at 2AM anywhere will increase your chances of crossing paths with people who aren't good natured (or in their right mind).
I hope most people will be welcoming to new Canadians, rather than alienate them with broad generalizations, as that's one of the ways the cycle of stupidity perpetuates itself.

If there is actually a neighbourhood named "Sudan-town", my apologies for reading too much into your intolerant statements.

I'm amazed at how quick that launching truss is throwing up sections. They're already done and over 9th Ave, and looks like they'll be at the station before they're ready for them.

In other transit news, the Douglasdale and Mackenzie Towne Park and Ride lots for the SE BRT (and future LRT route) open for use on August 30th.

Anyone know if the McKenzie Town park and ride is going to $3 a day?

Kind of want to know if I should be parking there, or just going to Anderson.

The two ends will be obviously, since the train has to go through. Here's what it will look like:

If that's your goal, you could always just jump in front of the train, which I would think would be a more instantaneous death.

Is anyone else slightly freaked out about driving under that truss thing when there are concrete pieces just above you?

No. That would be like walking under THE BOW and being scared stuff would fall off and hit you.

Driving by, that Sunalta station looks really high!

I'll bet anything that some stupid kids are going to try and run the elevated track between stations for a thrill, and someone is going to end up dead. That, or jumping off the tracks. Or both.

You're right, stuff never falls from the roofs of construction projects.

I don't think you have to be scared of walking/driving under the truss, but I do feel a bit more cautious whenever I'm around construction areas whenever there's a lot of activity. Unexpected stuff does drop down from the sky once in a while (wrenches....pipes....air conditioning units).
