I'd say that not acting like a know-it-all ass would be more likely to make someone successful instead of those things.

To the person that says girls like stubble. I don't buy that. Sure there may be the odd 30 year old woman that says she likes stubble. The majority of them will be under 25. Also when girls say they like stubble they don't say they like it on everyone. You have to have a certain face to be able to wear stubble and not come across as looking like a hobo. Same goes with long hair.
|
And girls don't like some clean shaven guys because they're ugly.

All I'm saying is all you grease ass no shave monkeys wont be getting a job from me or be taking my daughter out on a date.
|
No, but they'll be hooking up with her under the bleachers and you're probably in position to hire anyone anyways.
Quote:
Also you baby faced guys may think the stubble hides your chubby face but it accentuates double chins or skin imperfections. Just saying. Take a random photo shaven and take a random photo with stubble.
Anyways I don't give a shiznit how most people conduct themselves in grooming I'm just saying it pays to clean yourself daily.
|
Maybe you consider shaving to be cleaning but I consider cleaning to involve soap and water. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on what we think cleaning is.

Lol clean shaven dads think their life is perfect, except they don't know their daughter is sneaking out her window so she can spend a little alone time with stubby haired monkeys like myself. I just want to personally thank you for adding to the mystique of non-shaving people like myself, if it wasn't for you telling your daughter she couldn't date a guy like me than she'd never want to leave her room for a guy like me. You tell your daughter she can't do something chances are she wants to do it just to spite you. Thanks you again.

Yeah, because you guys are too slobby and lazy to show up at the front door.
I think beards and facial hair are a fine thing as long as they are maintained. Unshaven people, for the most part, look like total slobs and I can normally guess your socio-economic strata on sight.

So wait, I have some stubble now that's been growing for 4 days. And you can guess my social status based on that?
Can I make assumptions on your level of ness based on your expensive suit and shoes then?

Had an idea!

I don't really have a problem with a work environment that says be clean shaven. But I don't think I could stand working in a VERY strict environment.

I hate wearing watches. I want both my arms to weigh the same. Wearing a watch throws off my balance.

Ahhh... hair. #2 clippers. Low-effort stylin'. Looks good with my stubble. Plus, it keeps the helmet head under control, since I ride my 1250 cc motorcycle to the office every day. Yes, whoever you are that's reading this, I am far more manly than you.

And yet, I've managed to be very successful in my career, which is 20 years in so far. In all likelihood, far more so than you'll ever achieve, because (and you can mail me a cheque later on for this life-altering tip): the ability to be accepting of people of all types will progress you in your chosen vocation far more than looking like a pre-pubescent altar boy.

Its really sad when your trying to fight my point which isn't even debatable. You wake up, you shave and shower, and you go to work. What's all the fuss? You do this every day.
I guess this generation of workers and mien does it different then the previous. So what's the game plan boys? Wake up 20 mins late. Roll out of bed. Throw on clothes on bedroom floor. Throw some mouthwash in mouth. Leave the house. Go to a vending machine. Buy an egg sandwich slam a redbull and go into your 9to5 hate my life job? Sounds good! I'm gonna be the first to say this generation sucks. This all leads into my huge theory about people and the world.
Comon' CP get out of bed have a shave and a shower and harden the f up!
I bet these stubble people don't wash their car ever either.

That's cool I don't want to work for an idiot that judges people on whether they shaved that day or not. I'll go with the guy that hires based on actual qualifications and ability to do the job.
Somehow I think the guy that cares about hiring competent individuals is going to have a little more success than the guy who worries about the whether a guy has shaved in the last 5 minutes or not.

It's amazing isn't it? I never realized how many people were so caught up in style. For me, I've always hired based on one's ability do their job, and I've always hung out with people based on how funny/friendly they are.
Some people just seem so obsessed with it....to a fault.

I'll admit that a lot of people down here dress way too sloppily for me. But that's largely because it's soooooo hot. Your clothes will end up looking like crap unless you're in an office all day.
Some really smart, capable, rich, brilliant, or just all-around cool people are just "slobs"! So what!
And some people overcompensate by trying to have a perfect apperance. Oh well.

Yeah, I was reffering more to the people in this thread that seem to be completely anal about dressing up, and look down on those that aren't up to their standards of "dressing appropriatly". I hate meeting people like that in reali life....so pretentious.
