Way way past that, the guy is probably in the 3 digits in terms of usssernames he's had here. I don't know how many variations of "desi" the guy had. He's probably back now under another username.

Ah yes, one of my greatest pet peeves of mankind. People that don't shave their face in the morning. How can you go a day like that? Don't you feel like your asleep all day? Another is people who roll out of bed and come to work no shower.

My first impression of a person isn't by their clothes or their shoes. Its by their cleanliness and grooming. If a guy can't have a shave in the morning or doesn't bother to have a shower neither, it tell's me something about them.

What does it tell you about them?

Paying $2,500 for a suit just seems nuts to me. Not because having a nice suit isn't worth spending money on, but because it just seems like such incredibly poor value. If you're spending in the $2,500 range why not hop on a plane to Bangkok find a good spot to get suits made there, have a couple of equally nice suits made, enjoy a little vacation and fly on home. Honestly, it would probably cost about the same.

Once you've done it once you can also have your suits made and sent to you, with very high quality materials and tailoring. $2,500 for one suit is just such poor value.

How did I miss this thread? Simply epic. I read the 12th and 13th page confused as hell onto why every post was hilarious to everyone except me, and now have read every single post, and my sides are hurting from laughing.

Your pet peeve is that I dont shave??

Luckily we probably don't roll in the same circles so I will spare you from having to hurt your poor eyes looking at my scruffy face and hair.

PS, I also wear white socks with leather shoes if I don't have clean black socks.

I don't shave everyday for a few reasons, but mainly because its not necessary for me. Another reason is that with the cost of razors it makes me want to never shave in some ways...the other day I was looking at a pack of new razors and they were $38! For a metrosexual that is 1/2 the price of your haircut, but for me that is highway robbery!

I just can't bring myself to the point of a straightedge razor though. I know that they're cheaper but also so much more inconvenient from what I understand.

I look like a chunky baby when I'm clean shaven, so I've had a permanent slightly-past 5-oclock shadow (more like a 9 or 10pm) for the last few years now. This way I just use one of those adjustable beard trimmers, and give it a go every couple of days to make it even. Works pretty great....makes the face look thinner, the gf likes it, is quick and easy, and I save a ton of money on blades. Razor blades are a bigger rip off than Monster cables.

The down side is narbeZ doesn't respect me.

Honestly, I have pretty good quality Bangkok suits and Hugo Boss suits that cost me 10X more and the difference is pretty obvious. I'm sure there are tailors in Bangkok that can do a better job, but in general the quality of the fabric and the tailoring of a 4 figure suit is going to win that comparison hands down.

Ditto, I shave under the chin, and trim up the lines with a razor, and I use a beard trimmer on the rest.

I've earned the right to have the short beard look after shaving every morning for 22 years straight.

Shave with a Safety Razor that your grandpa used to shave with. Can get blades for 10 cents.

Yep Cap'n, that's how I do it too. This way you change razors every 2 months instead of every week.

I was looking, but someone told me that you have to do little tiny cuts as opposed to the full down the cheek kind of stroke? I don't know if that makes sense...but if that is the case I just don't want to save money that badly!

I use one and yes, the technique is a bit different. The strokes are much shorter. You need to do a couple passes. Really, it doesn't take a whole lot longer than with a regular razor, and you get a better shave out of it in my opinion.

It took me about 2 weeks to learn. You have to go slowly and gently, otherwise you will cut your face off.

There are tons of videos on youtube about traditional wet shaving. Go and watch a few if you are interested. There is tons of info there and that's what I did before I bought my razor and brush.

Thanks worth. I actually have a brush and soap already and like that better than foam/gel when I have the time. Maybe I will go that route and save some money. (I would appreciate if no one else follows though...just from a stock and investment standpoint. TIA)

Also, I'm with Table 5 and Bobloba on the whole chubby baby face thing. I have a brother who looks like a small innocent child with no facial hair, he will never shave.

I just switched from an electric razor to a Merkur HD safety razor with a Vulfix brush. It's a great way to shave. High upfront costs, but huge money saver in the long run.
