Does your sister know you're selling her car?

Off topic but ethanol blended premium doesn't hurt an engine unless it specifies not to use that fuel. Porsche is the only make I've seen with that.

My fiancé has the same car, but her's is a HB. She drives it in the winter and thinks it's swell. Maybe the new owner could drive yours in the winter?

On the topic of using premium fuel.

Unless your engine is under stress all the time (towing something constantly going up hill) There is absolutely no reason to waste money on premium gas, granted, at the end of the day, it really isn't THAT much difference in price.

Due to the quantity of octane in the fuel, the less that it burns (ie, when not under load) the more carbon deposits you're going to have in your engine. So using premium gas is not necessarily a good thing.

Or if the owners manual specifies that it take 91 octane, or if it has a high compression rate, or if it has a turbo on it, or if the ECM is programmed for 91...

Not to sound like an d-bag, but if your mazda is too nice to drive in the winter, what are you planning to buy if you sell it?

A piece of crap. I'm just planning on getting a beater and saving on the collision coverage on insurance as well.

I love my '07 Mazda3 GT... really not a fan of the changes to the lines they did for the 2010. The interior improvements look really nice though!

GL with the sale.

yes, but a Mazda 3 GT, owner's manual says 87 octane. Unless arlo turbo'd it, which I doubt, and I don't think he flashed his ECU so that he can use 91 octane fuel.

Anyway, not the point of this thread. Carry on.
