Yes, yes you are.

If it wasn't clear, the first line in my post states "Far Right" as in duh, the extreme.

But its ok, I understand liberals, conservatives, religious, non religious; all go into defensive mode when you mention any hint of their particular group.

That's fair, but as I pointed out, this so-called "far-right" is literally a handful of people.

Literally? So how many people can you fit in your hand?

Maybe you should read this book:

If the extreme right is only a handful of people, then explain to me why intelligent design is actually being taught in schools? Its as though there are two types of Americans. Type one likes reality, type two likes a soft fuzzy reality in which some bearded bashtard in the sky is going to make everything lollipops and rainbows so long as they don't question anything in its name no matter how effing stupid.

I will, however, continue to belt-out the Star Spangled banner at Flames games as loud as I can.

I think the conception of intelligent design proponents being complete idiots is a bit of a mistake. To them, it's an ontological problem not an issue with science per se.

I say, let them go on that way, let them continue to think their crazy ideologies and go against the educated norm.

If I'm understanding what you're attempting to say... The proponents of intelligent design aren't idiots because they see the intelligent design theory as a philosophical pursuit rather than a scientific one. Why then, would they want it taught in science (i.e. biology) class?

Yeah, I agree with this. There's a disconnect somewhere in there.

Its a way of getting religion in the back door of public schools.

Thanks, on behalf of religious believers everywhere, for being as crudely and stupidly insulting as humanly possible, thereby proving yet again the superior tolerance and towering intelligence of atheists.

Wait, so you're angry at his blanket statement on religious people, and you retort with your own blanket statement on atheists?

YOU JUST BLEW MY MIND

Look, I've been shutting up for years while asses like Richard Dawkins proclaimed to the world that atheists are intelligent and tolerant by definition, and religious believers are stupid and bigoted by definition. I didn't believe him until now . . . but having seen the intelligence and tolerance demonstrated by Traditional_Ale, how can I possibly disagree with Dawkins any longer?

In other words: It wasn't MY blanket statement on atheists, it was the atheists' own blanket statements that I was making fun of. Buy a clue; they're cheap. Even us knuckle-dragging, brain-dead Catholics have access to them.

I think you misunderstand.

Where did I claim to be tolerant?

The arrogance displayed by this new wave of atheists is pretty staggering to me. Granted, I try to match it with my own arrogance, but the whole dynamic doesn't seem very healthy for potential debates.

Atheist: Religious people are dumb. Because I have read a few books by some of these new popular guys like Hitchens, Harris and Dawkins I am forever superior in universal knowledge than the knuckle-dragging theists.

Theist: GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
