Schefter thinks the Eagles nailed the draft this year:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/traini...dam&id=5445709
Quote:
• Round 1 (13th overall), Michigan defensive end Brandon Graham: Eagles players are raving about Graham's burst, technique, handwork. Before the draft, one NFL executive predicted Graham would have a better NFL career than Indianapolis Colts Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney. Graham already is the early favorite to win the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Seems to be a solid pick by the Eagles.

Broncos are going to sign Justin Fargas evidently.

How many RB's does one team need?

Yeah, I've always like Fargas as much as it was possible to like a Raider. He runs hard. He's not a kid anymore though and he's been on the decline.
None of those injuries are considered serious at this point.
Fargas + Mays > Arrington I guess

Riley Cooper is super intriguing for me. To standout as a WR in camp with all the talent they have....that's pretty exciting.
And Brandon Graham goes without saying...kid's gonna be a stud.

I'm actually most excited by Lindley. If Allen and Lindley are as good as advertised, then the Eagles are set at defense for years.

This is Mel Kipers master plan to get Tim Tebow to play half back and never play QB for the Denver Broncos.

i have lost all respect for Schefter with is ESPNification of predicting someone to be Defensive rookie of the year before the season even starts.

He didn't. He said that Graham is the early favorite. He's saying that based on talking to people around the league. Schefter is not the first person I've heard it from.

Just saw note from Redskins camp. Apparently McNabb has been brutal and was even being heckled by a fan today. He's been throwing lot of interceptions and is throwing behind receivers more than usual.

What do you expect when Steve Beurlein is tutoring you on the intracacies of the Shanahan offense?

The article said he's been spending most of the time with Kyle Shanahan.

I'm sure he is. Beurlein has been involved with the QB's though. Terrell Davis spent a week with the RB's.

I think he'll get it sorted out but I found the interception aspect of the story interesting because McNabb has never been the type to throw lots of picks.

McNabb has never been a real accurate passer either. If he's too excited he does have that tendency to overthrow the ball. Considering how much Andy Reid liked to throw the ball, and that the Eagles didn't always have a big time vertical passing attack McNabbs career stats for completion percentage aren't that impressive. He never has thrown much for interceptions though, and I never watched the Eagles that closely. For all I know his receivers dropped balls are the reason he's never been over 64%. He more or less has hovered in the 60% range in an era where a lot of guys are over 65, especially in an offence like what the Eagles run.
