All I got from it was a sense of massive ignorance from Bosh and that BC was right about him giving up for most of last season. If Bosh had more intelligence and better speaking skills it might be easier to understand what point he was trying to get across.

You're right, but why even go down that road during his statement? He very well knew during his 7 years or whatever, how the Canadian lifestyle is, and Toronto, being just NY North. Saying stuff like that when the fans respected him until the end, is like kicking the fanbase in the nuts. It's just not called for. Some of these basketball players can't think a step ahead and that's frustrating. Furthers the argument that all pro athletes should have a post-secondary education to at least think without having to explain what they meant after. So freaking dumb.

Whether Turks or Bosh is a moron is irrelevant. Turks is right that Colangelo should have kept his mouth shut. It's bad optics. I actually think Turkoglu is going to be a beast in that Phoenix offence.

Shaq if he can handle being a 2nd stringer once Perkins is healthy could be a good piece for the Celtics. Losing Perkins really hurt them on the boards in the the big game last year. Now with him and JO they have a lot of big man depth.

Losing Perkins lost them the 'ship, IMO. He was so dominant defensively and on the glass that Gasol looked like a pansy playing against him. Bynum was a real non-factor and Odom looked pretty ineffective. When Perkins was out, Wallace looked like he could hold the fort down, but his back gave out on him and the celtics one game too soon.

Shaq is in tough to see his team get back to the finals. Miami is the obvious contender but boston may have one kick in the can left.

Bill Simmons was saying on his podcast the other day with Steve Kerr that this Celtics team could possibly be the richest team in the history of the NBA.

NBA Salary only (not including endorsements) earned over their careers up to this summer:

Shaquille O'Neal: $290.8 million
Kevin Garnett: $251.3 million
Ray Allen: $158.0 million
Jermaine O'Neal: $153.5 million
Rasheed Wallace: $150.4 million
Michael Finley: $138.6 million
Paul Pierce: $123.5 million

That's over $1.2 billion in salaries for those seven guys.

Bosh said Colangelo's comments were "unfortunate," adding that the two have not spoken since.

"That's how he handled it ... All I can do is react and just stay grounded and stay humble and just keep doing what I'm doing," Bosh said. "It doesn't bother me because I know I've never quit at any point in my NBA career, in my lifetime, playing basketball."

Say what you want about BC's words towards Bosh but C'mon Chris Bosh saying all he can do is stay grounded?!? Yeah Chris, you've really been grounded and humble all summer.

Four NBA teams have agreed to to a five-player trade that will send Trevor Ariza to the New Orleans Hornets and Darren Collison to the Indiana Pacers, two league sources said.

In the trade, the Houston Rockets sent Ariza to the Hornets, who in turn will send Collison and James Posey to the Pacers.

The Pacers sent Troy Murphy to the New Jersey Nets. And the Nets sent Courtney Lee to the Rockets.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5455472
This takes out one of the main place the Raptors could have sent Calderon, with Indiana now having Collison.

The Raptors also made a deal sending Belenille to the Hornets for Julian Wright.
